Rated 2 out of 5 by Okay for light jobs I'm new to the whole wood working field. I bought this one 5 or 6 years ago and it has worked fine. The variable speed was handy and up to now I've only been using it on soft wood. This year I decided to built cabinets in oak, and she started to bog down. Burnt it out today. Some of it I'm sure was my fault in taking cuts a little deeper. Extremely awkard under a table, could never get the depth cuts right and removing bits was a pain. January 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Ryobi router Really nice machine, smooth running, handles are nicely positioned.A little awkward for under table adjustment and had minor problems with power switch. That being said it has plenty of power and variable speed. I would recommend this for diy types. January 28, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by great diy router works as intended, a little awkward under the table but all routers has their little shortcomings. Recommended for diy types, should be good for almost anything you can throw at it on a diy standpoint. December 15, 2007
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice... Have enjoyed this router, very easy to use. I agree with other postings, under the table is awkward at best. Variable speed is handy as well. October 14, 2008
