Customer Questions & Answers

Do you carry replacement batteries for the 24 volt Lithium cordless trimmer?

Asked by: Sonny
You can get additional batteries online, which we received in less than a week. It really helps having a spare when you are trimming a large area.

Customer Reviews

24-Volt Lithium-ion Cordless String Trimmer/Edger is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 225.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Trimmer I ordered this trimmer largely because of a favorable review in Consumer Reports, and I have found it to be of good quality. I had previously used an 18 volt battery trimmer, and after five years the batteries had lost their effectiveness. Since they are so expensive, I decided to just buy a new trimmer. The 24 volt battery on this one does a much better job. It took me awhile to assemble it, largely because I could not locate three screws that are used to attach the grass deflector. The instructions say to remove them from the motor housing with a Phillips screwdriver and then use them to attach the deflector back onto the housing. However they were not in the motor housing, but rather in a separate small package that I had misplaced when opening the carton. I like the edger feature and found it fairly easy to change from trimmer mode to edger mode, though it does require a slight nudge with the hand or foot to lock into place. I haven't used it long enough yet to determine how long it goes before needing a recharge, but indications are that after trimming my yard it still has plenty of juice left.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I purchased this String Trimmer as well as the Bladed Edger Attachment based on the majority of good reviews. I was genuinely surprised the 1st time that l used them. Although not as powerful as my gas Trimmer & Edger, The units are more than sufficient for the average home owner. (And no more 2 cycle headaches or gas to by and mix). Also, it is much quieter than a gas unit. I was concerned that it came with only 1 battery, but fully charged, it completed my entire yard (a good size lot) with approximately 50% remaining power. My gas equipment will be given to my son who has 2 1/2 acres. I would definitely recommend this tool for the average home owner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Weed Wacker; but not for edging This is my first experience with battery operated outdoor equipment. The weed wacking aspect of things is great. It is only a single line but it does the job. However, despite it's great reviews as an edger I did not like it at all. Yes, the hub turns for edging, but it eats the line up quickly and does not do the best job. I went out and bought a Ryobi edging attachment specifically meant for this unit and it is fabulous. Yes it costs an extra $70 but it is awesome. So I use this unit for the weeds and quickly switch to the edger attachment for the edging and it is a fantastic combination for about $200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is easy to use This edger is easy to use and has the great feature where you can change the angle the string cuts, either flat or sideways. It can easily be changed by pushing down the handle with your foot. It performed well, however, I do wish it would have lasted longer with the battery life. I could not complete all of the edging around my home and then had to wait an hour for a recharge. The only other issue was one time the automatic feed of the string did not work and I had to take it apart and re-thread it so it would work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm liking how the battery lasts and lasts... I love the quick charge, lithium battery. I don't have that big of a yard but the old NMH battery on my last edger didn't even make it around the gardens, much less the perimeter and it took forever to recharge. I'm getting old so it is a little heavy for me but It is well balanced and easy to go from trimming to edging with the foot switch. Easy to store. the battery snaps on and off pretty easily but the battery width is a little wide for my hand span, so it's a little hard to disconnect from the charger and the edger. Overall though, it is just what I needed.
