I have completed three tile projects with this saw and it is still working as new. I purchased this saw for my first tile tile project of tiling porcelain over my brick fireplace, cutting 12" tiles down to size. Next I used this for my flooring project which was about 300 sq ft of porcelain tile. It was a two size pattern, so I made a lot of cuts. Since then I have also used it for my kitchen backsplash project of about 35 sq ft. of travertine and so far it has worked well enough to get the jobs done. It cuts the travertine much quicker than porcelain. The original blade didn't last long before it was chipping the tile, so I swapped it out during the first project and have been using another diamond blade ever since.

I was really skeptical about this one but I was pleasantly surprised by it's solid build, easy setup, and accurate cuts.
The size was just right sitting on my counter top waiting in the wings for when I had to make some cuts to go around electrical jacks and switches. You need to remember, though, that this is a wet saw. The tile needs to be wet so the blade doesn't over heat but that also means you will probably get a nice swatch of wetness down the front of your shirt too. Remember to wear overalls or stand to the side while cutting. If you got nice floors and you're cutting inside, put some drop cloths down... you'll be glad you did.
The fence was good but was made of plastic. it was sort of accurate but after repeated use, the water and bits of tile get trapped under it and it makes it difficult to adjust. Clean the deck often to make it easier on yourself. Also, a quick 90o angle works great for adjusting the fence. Just place the lip of the angle in the groove of the bed and use that to adjust the straightness of the guide. Perfect cuts everytime!
Overall, i'm glad I made this purchase. Get an extra cutter wheel though, the one that comes in the box only lasted me about 50 cuts on standard grade subway tile before it started chipping.

We were interested in this saw based on the reviews. The price was right and for our small tile job it seemed this would be perfect. Bought saw number 1, assembled everything and discovered that when the blade was tightened down there wasn't enough clearance for the blade to spin. Returned it, and bought saw number 2...similar problem, now it's the motor that doesn't work. The saw will be returned today and we won't be buying another one.
It would seem that the saw gets good reviews if it works properly but I'm not willing to take another chance.

I purchased this to cut 12 in porcelain tiles for a 35 sqft bathroom. granted i didnt need to make THAT many cuts, but not 1 mess up - and I am far from a pro. The bathroom tiles came out perfect. Size is great (especially since storage is limited for me), price is great (had 10% coupon).
I had borrowed a wet saw once before and just remember it being VERY messy. The ONLY water that ended up anywhere other than this saw was because of the tiles being 12" - by the time i got to cutting the end of the tile the other side was hanging off the back.
this rip guide is...ehh - kind of a pain to set properly, but once set it stays put very well.

I redid my kitchen and was about to rent a big wetsaw for the porcelain floor and tumbled marble backsplash until I saw this one on sale w/ a stand for $100. I redo houses and do some tile myself, primarilly backsplashes, so having a tile saw makes sense. I wasn't expecting a whole lot but this saw worked flawlessly. I did 150 sf of floor and around 50 sf of backsplash and then I loaned it to a guy who works w/ me for a bathroom job, and it is still on the first of 2 blades that came w/ it. The miter function is limited but it works great on straight cuts. Really, along w/ my Corner Cat, one of the better tool purchases I have made.

bought this saw after spending a lot of money renting one. anyone who says this saw is not easy to setup and does not do a good job should let someone else do their tiling projects. I am retired and like to do a little at a time. this saw is perfect for that. makes nice cuts as long as you take your time. very easy cleanup and not too heavy for an old man to carry. I would recommend this saw to anyone that's not expecting a $700.00 saw for $129.00

Bought this saw for some home tiling project. Bought this one based on previous reviews.
What is great about it is that is has a bottom drain and an overflow drain. I bought a small pond pump and some tubing. I drilled a hole at the top of the water reservoir in the back of the saw and ran the tubing through, which I connected the other end to the pond pump in a 5 gallon pail filled with water, conveniently placed below the overflow drain. I have a constant supply of fresh cold water cooling the blade. For $20 pump and $5 of tubing I have a high end wet tile

This saw is very cleverly designed. It does almost everything that the expensive saw do with ease.
I was able to complete my tub surround with minimal effort. This saw made all of cuts on the plain tile and the fancy bullnose tile easily.
However the blade that came with saw chipped the tile and left jagged edges. This may have been unique to the one I purchase. After a new Ridigid blade all of the cuts were accurate and the cut edges were perfect. Even the where I had to 45 degree the edge of a tile...perfect!
I really enjoy Roybi products because their engineers find simple elegant solutions that make the products work like the expensive tools while keep the price down.
