Here is a picture of the project I took on, there were lots of details to sand down, the detail sander took care of all of it and barely used any sand paper, loved it very much! I used 60 grit sand paper for my project.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by marcusmarco This product is great in tight places
The sander was all it was made to be. I needed a small sander to get into 90 degree corners on a door I trimmed out. This tool did the job great, saved me time and being a reconditioned tool was ten dollars cheaper and I still got the same one year warranty

I got this product at a very good price, but the performance is not so good. I hate to give it the worst rating because it's the only sander of it's type I have used, but it does a poor job. The vibration is so slight that it tends to not move the sandpaper enough to accomplish anything. I can see where it could be good in tight corners, but it would take forever to get any sanding done. I really can't recommend this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by work0ends Helped where I needed it
I am refinishing some kitchen cabinets and this tool satisfied my need to sand in corners and other tight spaces. I have bought reconditioned products before so I didn't hesitate buying this product reconditioned. The package included one sanding pad and a polishing pad. I would have preferred to pay slightly more and have the package included additional sanding pads since I quickly wore down the one that was included. Thankfully, the local store had sanding pads in stock and I was able to quickly pick up additional product.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by inSound Ok For very light jobs
We had three basic jobs we wanted this tool to do: strip all the paint from a flat 1/2" wide strip of door molding, strip a light coat of varnish on an old door with 6 inset panels, and strip splashed paint from woodwork.
It failed to make a dent in the one coat of paint on the 1/2' wide door molding.
It did remove most of the varnish from the 6 panel old door.
It did eventually remove most- but not all- of the splashed paint from the woodwork.
This tool might be good for very light jobs but if there is even one coat of paint find another tool to remove it.

I bought a reconditioned item because of Home Depots' reputation but the item arrived broken so I had to do what I tried to avoid, go into the store and return it and spend the money that I tried to save and get a new one

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mgsandiego Poorly refurbished
This item is refurbished, but simply looks used and returned. Condition is poor and I would have preferred to purchase a new one for a small price difference. Not recommended. Ryobi needs to do a better job of reconditioning.
