I received this as a present so I'm kinda stuck with it. You're lucky if you've got a level mounting plate. Impossible for me to achieve this. I have yet to figure out how to modify it to make it work. Extra screws with shims or redo a new top? Spend some extra $$ for a better table.

I bought this with the intent to use it in conjuction with my Ridgid router.
The resulting challenges that I got were:
1) the bolts on the Ridgid router were too short so that I couldn't afix the router to the table. I had to go to a specialty nuts & bolts to purchase some longer ones (1").
2) It was quite difficult finding the right holes for my router even though these holes seem to be marked ('rd').
Now, as to the table itself, it was pretty easy to set up but I did a modification on it. I purchased a cheap folding work table, took the clamp-boards off of the work table and screwed the router table (without the included legs) on the work table.
Voil, I've got a stand-alone folding router table.
As to the complaints that the plastic plate that holds the router is too weak or flimsy, I suggest attaching a metal plate under the router plate so as to make it stronger. A good strong glue would do the trick.
A cool thing about this router table is that it has a large work surface - very handy.
With the mods, at this price, it's hard to beat.

Just as everyone has said... the mounting plate can't be leveled correctly. If you're routing smaller pieces the depth can get screwed up.
I'd return this, but its been assembled, and has some saw dust on it, from trying it out.

I should have read previous reviews before buying. I too had issues with a warped mounting plate but HD refunded my purchase without any hassles.

Besides the well documented leveling issues, the backboard is pressed board and the one I bought was not aligned. I bought some oak and made sturdy backboards but still couldn't get past the plate leveling problem. If you might deal with short pieces, or need highly precision work, don't buy this one.
