Our 40v charger only charges the 40v lithium ion batteries to 20v, therefore the tools do not function.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Ryobi has several other chargers available on the website but there isn't one to directly replace this one. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Answer:
Hey Kat -- Yes! All of our 40v batteries and chargers are interchangeable. If you buy the lawnmower as a kit you will receive2 more 40v batteries with it. It's always nice to have back up batteries in case you need to do a longer job. Thanks for the question!

The cord sure looks a lot like the cords that I have on various other items I have at home, such as old boom boxes and TVs.

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by very poor battery charger the battery charger went out in three months. Shows is warranty at three years. how so you file a claim. September 16, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Total Defect With all the others having issues, it is clear this is a defective product. My new mower has been in the shop for 2 months waiting on a new charger. Ryobi will do nothing. Ryobi doesn't seem to care they put out a defective product. Who knows if the replacement will be any better. Avoid any product using this charging system. It will let you down. August 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Total Junk Not only is this charger a total piece of junk but Home Depot will not replace it. Worst customer service ever. I will do my shopping at Lowes from now on. August 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst charger ever - love trimmer Bought the 40v trimer w/ battery and charger 10 months ago. Trimmer is GREAT (so is the 40v blower) but the charger just stopped working and I've been SUPER diligent to keep it unplugged when not charging, and separate from the battery, and inside. I knew this part would be extra work but was willing to do it to help the product last.... even with my diligency, the charger died... battery seems fine. May 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Battery charger So far, I am pleased with the charger. I really didn't need to order the charger because the Ryobi lawn mower did came with one. I was told it didn't. The online description for the lawn mower only mentioned the two batteries which I thought was strange not to include the charger. June 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lawn Mower and Charger Didn't like using a gas operated Lawn Mower - Too Noisy and didn't like dealing with the gas and oil. So I decided to get a battery operated Lawn Mower. Much easier to use, sounds like a vacuum and isn't hard to push around the lawn. Its a good idea to check the lawn first for stones, branches and general debris on the ground first but otherwise I am very pleased with the lawn mower so far. The charger is very easy to use. Slide the battery into the slot and plug it in. Charger blinks while charging and solid green light when the battery is charged. How easy is that?! I made sure to charge up both batteries in case I needed both for the lawn. Its been raining a lot lately so I couldn't get out there to keep it mowed. I did need both. But they charge up very quickly March 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Charges quickly but doesn't last as long as I'd hoped. The battery was $99 and didn't come with the charger which was another $60. It doesn't last nearly as long as I had hoped, but recharges very quickly. This product was obviously designed to be used by those with much larger hands. It is very difficult for me to get it off the charger - and definitely takes two hands. June 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Charger This charger is easy to use and does not take much room. It is well lit to let you know when the battery is charged. It re-charges in about 30 minutes after mowing my entire lawn. June 30, 2015
