Answer:
I think it is only compatible with the 40201 & 40210, those both have the grey screw on couplers. There are a number of trimmer head models, some I'm not familiar with you would have to check with Home Depot or Ryobi. But the key is to make sure it has the gray couplers.

I think it is only compatible with the 40201 & 40210, those both have the grey screw on male coupler. There are a number of trimmer head models, some I'm not familiar with you would have to check with Home depot or Ryobi. But the key is to make sure it has the male gray coupler threads. You'll notice the attachments have the grey female coupler.

I don't know, I'm thinking not. It is one of the older 40 volt products the pole saw uses a different coupler. the ones I know it does work with are the RY40201A, RY40210B, and the RY40200A which is discontinued.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 94 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 40-volt weed wacker(Model RY40001A) worked great with this attachment. Can't beat it for under $100 and free shipped to store. It come with shoulder strap, small bottle of oil. Chainsaw head and two extensions. It some weight with the battery maybe about 30 to 40lbs. June 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Works great. Used for 20min and didnt put a dent in my battery. Used on a 6" branch and it got through. Going to use on bigger branches until i find its max. I was skiptical on electric but so far im impressed July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi Pole Saw Arrived ahead of schedule and works very well for my use. I've removed branches from a holly and drake elm trees. Attachments are easy to assemble/exchange and battery life is excellent using edger and saw for average sized yard. It's a bit heavy for an old person like me, but the strap helps to manage. Definitely plan to add other 40 volt products in an effort to eliminate need for gas/electricity. March 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little saw Was a bit skeptical about the 40v battery life but the saw just chugged away and I was able to trim many storm damaged trees and generated a huge pile of cuttings. Easy to use, not that light but probably what you would expect. and once you figure out the strap hookup it is fine (No real hook on the battery section to attach it to so I just used the tightening shaft for the handle.which is probably not the best). Manual not that helpful for that issue. This saw so far has been a great buy, and no complaints, Have to watch the oil use though as it uses it fast. Would recommend to others. May 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of junk Just purchased, tried to assemble and one section of the pole will not connect to the other(after following the instructions and attempting umpteen times). Returning tomorrow - never again buying Ryobi. June 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great product, does all you can ask of it. like a lot of reviews the only reason for the four stars instead of five is a couple of small things. it does a outstanding job of cutting limbs from small ones to rather large ones, the hook on the underside is great for pulling limbs or brush down, the run time is also great I use the 40 volt as I use the head from my weed eater so nice to interchange as with my 18 volt tools. I also switch battery's from the 40volt chainsaw which is another outstanding product. the few downsides is the small oil tank and it does go thru a lot of oil, the blade needs tightening a lot, the price for what you get it a little on the high side and it's also very heavy when assembled but the good side it reaches those very tall limbs, but for a older person it might be a little too heavy as I'm 6'4 and in shape and it wears my back and arms out. overall a great product does what it's supposed to do but go into it knowing the few small downsides and you will be happy. May 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryobi Pole Saw Attachment This pole saw attachment was a breeze to assemble. I added the attachment to my 24 volt weed trimmer The motor runs really quiet, and it cuts large limbs with no problem. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job I got one of these because I bought the string trimmer. I hate the string attachment but I love the blades you can buy for it. Anyway I bought this because I had some trees I needed to prune. Does the job well and is a lot easier than busting out the chain saw and doing a balancing act on a ladder. May 17, 2016
