40-Volt and 24-Volt Cordless Pole Saw Attachment is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 111.

I was skeptical on how long the battery would last with pole saw attachment. I use a 40-volt LI battery. I was shocked at how long the battery lasted. It was great! The amount and size of limbs I cut would tax most any gas operated pole saw. The battery lasted through many cuts with some over six inches. Pros: cut well, long battery life, length better than avg pole saw, adjustable length with extender pole. Cons: Heavy to lift with full extension, chain tension required many tightening's, blade size is small although could cut both sides of limb for limbs bigger than blade length, chain oil reservoir level hard to see. Even with the cons I still consider the overall rating excellent - use of not having to deal with an electrical cord or gas operated pole saw.

Too much trouble attaching and removing from the trimmer. Lost contact and will not power. Gave a second shot to the 18V Ryobi pole saw, which I thought would be too weak to do the job, and to my surprise, it is MUCH, MUCH better. Stay away from this 40V junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Highly recommended.....you can't go wrong with this purchase. Eats a lot of oil but well worth the money. It's quiet, powerful, batteries last and overall well designed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sure beats my pole pole saw The old pole saw is very light and easier to place but you will work your tail off pushing and pulling especially on a 4" or 5" limb. I am to old for that. The pruning saw attachment fits on the Ryobi string trimmer and edger power head. This attachment will fit either the 24 or 40 volt power head (I have the 40 volt system). The unit has plenty of power and cuts quick and clean. I would rather take on the extra weight than the agonizing wear down I get from the pole saw. I wish the pruning saw had a little further reach but that would add to the weight. All in all it is still a great tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a wonderful addition! I am shocked at how easy this pole saw is to maneuver. It exceeded all expectations. I am a 5'2" 48 year old female and I have had a blast with this product. I have 20 acres that I like to keep manicured and I breezed through all the trees with a single charge of the battery. It does suck down some oil so do yourself a favor and buy more chain oil if you have a lot of pruning to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The issue I have with ease of use is that when cutting you have to power up the head and have it running to start cutting I discovered you have to start the saw running before starting to cut a branch. If you don't the saw won't run and you have to stick the lithium battery in the charger and reset it. I am impressed with the power and ease of cutting tree limbs. I purchased the pole saw for 2 reasons: to get an extension for my hedge trimmer and to cut tree limbs without getting out my ladder and climbing up a tree.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should not be sold without the handle and battery attachment. My husband tore up a 4 month old Ryobi trimmer/edger when he tried to detach the Handle/Battery holder as it pulled out the male connector from the Ryobi Trimmer/edger. Was unable to get the adapter put back in place. So now the pole sole has its on Handle/Battery Holder as one complete unit. We have another Ryobi trimmer/edger that we have had for about 3 years and love it.
