Yes , I think most folks use these as a screw driver as well. Just be sure your bit is very tight before you start.

I have found that it works best to start with a small bit and work my way up to the larger size in the hole I'm drilling. I take my time and use a manual hammering action and back out often to remove debris and manage temp and load, since it is not a hammer drill. I've used both high-speed rotary and hammer drill bits with it (standard lengths). The rotary bits perform better in this rotary drill of course, but both work. Read Less

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by motor smoked On about the tenth hole using a new 11/16 wood bit the motor started to smoke. Was drilling hole for balusters in red oak railing. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Big hp little guy! Needed a creed drill since batteries expire over time and this was its the ticket! August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Right Size for Me Drill is the right size for my hands and the right weight for me to use easily. My first drill that I bought for my own use. I like it. August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Drill Ever I screwed up on my grout cleanup job, and found myself constantly changing batteries on my dewalt drill with a nylon brush head after the fact. Went to home depot thinking that corded drills were cheap since nobody wants them, and found this 'winner' for $30+tax and thought it would be a great fit. Granted I have a pricey cordless drill with 15 torque ( hi-low )settings and am used to performance, and this guy isn't any better than a 5 setting on my drill on max power. The brush would stop because the drill has no power. This garbage rates right up there with the black and decker tool line! Save yourself $30, buy something else. June 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase for the money The drill was easy to use and it was more powerful than I expected. July 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good small corded drill This is a nice lightweight, relatively powerful corded drill. It will take care of most home drilling needs with no problem. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One Of My Best Purchase's Ever This is one of my best purchase ever. As a beginner and a woman. This drill is very easy to use and very light. I was recommended this drill by an home depot woman employee. Who said that she owns one herself, and everything she told me was right. Brought it with a drill head set for a very great price. Comes with a handy bag to keep it stored in when finish that have room for my drill head set also. Very nice. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Green Drill The drill was ready to use, easy to install bits, use as a screwdriver with reverse for removing screws, and to drill holes and install new screws. Light weight and liked the cloth storage container. July 19, 2016
