Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mrfixit9649 great option a corded drill with cordless features
This thing doubles as a screw gun and used mainly 4 this. But pilot holes r also done in wood and drilling in metals 2. As a screw gun 4 decking and as a power nut driver it works well. Also driving 3 in screws it is a brutal tool as well. It is great all purpose Drill driver and comes in handy 4 all day power if u r not using a battery drill. A great handyman carpenter and tradesman tool if u don't want shell out a lot of $$$ 4 a cordless or like that cost more than this. Used it 4 sheathing a floor and decking and assembly projects and wow very powerful tool love me some home depot and ryobi has come a long way as well thanks guys!!

This drill had instantly been a great choice I drilled into 2x4's and 3/4 " Plywood without any problems. I wanted a drill with a plug in because I work with cordless drills at work daily and I hate to switch out batteries in the middle of jobs. I don't even use my cordless drill at home anymore.

I might be a pretty harsh critic, so let me say up front this is a pretty good drill for $40. However, this sucker heats up really quickly. You'd probably have something lame like a 15 minute/1 hour cycle for the drill to be operating optimally and avoid overheating (which isn't really going to happen). Also, there is a weird angle with the chuck so that it makes it harder to tell if you are perpendicular to a surface. Not a huge problem, but it's kind of weird. It works though, and the variable speed trigger and clutch are good to have. If you have the money, you might want a better drill. If you are on a stricter budget (like me) then this will get the job done, just slowly by comparison.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ryan Love this drill!
I'm very impressed with this drill. I usually use battery operated DeWalt drills but I wanted something inexpensive that could perform heavy duty tasks without wearing out my batteries. One thing I plan to use this drill for is spindle sanding, and this is the only corded drill I could find that has lock on, variable speed, and a clutch. I don't have my drill press set up and I needed to drill a hole in the side of a hardened steel coupling nut. As soon as I turned the drill on I could feel the increased power over my 18v units. Using a center punch to mark the spot and the correct metal bit I was able to precisely drill through the nut in a short amount of time. I've only used it once but I was so impressed I just had to write a review. Looking forward to using this drill for future projects.
