CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Be careful I have other Ryobi tools and I love them. When I went to Home Depot, this hammer drill was the one I wanted. It had a better rating than Bosch, for heaven sakes! It was the last in stock and a display model so they gave it to me for only $35. Good deal, right? Not really. I had no trouble in the hammer mode, and I didn't overdo it in going cleanly through concrete or stucco. But when I used it in drill mode with a spade bit in wood, and hit an obstruction. something inside stripped. I read in other reviews that the gears were not durable, and they aren't. Today I took the drill back to HD and bought a Makita for $79. For really big jobs, I still love my Ryobi gasoline powered demolition hammer, but for small tasks I think the Makita will do well. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent unit I already own two corded drills and one corded drill - - but no hammer drill. Needed to drill a few holes into a concrete slab to fasten down a threshold. Worked great, no hassles at all. In fact, for a homeowner who wants just one corded drill, this is a great choice. It's a perfectly nice conventional drill, with the hammer function available as well. (BTW, for drilling in concrete, make sure to purchase a masonry drill bit, and use special concrete anchors.) Rated 5 out of 5 by Great low priced hammer drill My old drill's motor burned out drilling through concrete, but this drilled the holes like a hot knife through butter. I'll only use it around the house, so I'm not sure how it would stand up in "pro" use, but for the DIY'er this is a great choice. I have several other Ryobi tools and I'm very satisfied with the quality and value. June 17, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great drill at the price This drill is easy to use and does a great job without buying the $200 drills. October 14, 2014
