How stable is the stand? Does it move as you run tile through the saw?

Asked by: JT
I have used it a lot doing my tile and have no problem with the stand. Just make sure it is on flat solid ground.

Is the guard, guide, and other extras available by them selves? My son borrowed my saw, and lost everything except two of the leg sections

Asked by: wazzie48
YES, through the parts, but they cost a fortune. Better to buy new one on EBay or used one for parts.

I had to make several cuts and was really worried about how good this saw would be. It exceeded my expectations. I do want to note that you may want to clamp the deck to the stand just to make it a little more stable. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Homeowner Greer Saw worked well on my first project, backsplash. Will see as it get more usage. The one negative is it could use a higher quality blade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tile saw especially with the stand Ordered this saw & stand on sale for about 100 bucks. The stand really makes it a nice saw to use. The saw has a drain plug which makes cleaning out the water tank a snap - just put a 5 gallon bucket under the drain and wash out the tank with a hose or bucket of water. The saw cuts straight nicely with the fence but just make sure the table top is aligned with the blade. You can align the table top by removing the metal plates and loosening the 4 allen bolts to adjust the plastic table top. This was not mentioned in the manual. The angle cut guide is rather mickey mouse and I don't use it; I use a guide from another saw to make 45 deg cuts. Other than that, this saw fits all my needs and I have enjoyed using it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great saw The saw was a great value. The stand was an added bonus and came in handy. My only gripe was the cheap saw blade thay came warped. But I did expect to buy a new blade after reading other reviews. I cut natural stone panels, that ranged from 1/2 to 2 inches. The saw never slowed down, just make sure the guard/material splitter is perfectly aligned with the blade. Since the blade just sits in the water well means no pump and no pump failure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great little saw Last tile project, I rented a big Makita wet saw which worked perfectly. Then I decided to do tile projects on two more bathrooms. With the size, it was going to be two or three more days of rental so it made sense to look at purchasing a small DIYer level wet saw. So far working on travertine 12" tiles for a floor and ceramic subway tiles for a tub surround, it's worked sufficient. Sure, would it be nicer if the guide locked in more squarely more easily. But then it would be a more expensive saw. For small projects where you can take the time on your cuts, you can get professional level results especially if you pair it with a good blade. (I'm using a Black Widow.) If you want all the bells and whistles, this isn't the saw for you. If you're looking for a saw which gets the job down with time and care, then this is definitely one you should consider. And about the little switch key, I have a Ryobi table saw with the same type of key but bigger. I agree that it can easily become lost so I just keep them in the saw. My daughter has no interest in power tools so I have no fears of an accident. But I've still taught her of the dangers in case she ever has a mind to while I'm not at home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Tile Saw for $$ Ordered this 7" tile saw with stand for $99. Used it to cut tile for a kitchen back splash project. Ease to set up, easy to use. Also purchased a 7" QEP Glass Tile Diamond Blade. Must by a diamond blade if you plan on cutting glass tile as the blade that comes with the saw is only for tile. I used both blades and had no problems. Highly recommend this saw for the price. If you just need a tile saw for small projects around the house, it is perfect. You do need to sand the inside of the tile guide (for cutting angles) prior to use so it slides smoothly on the fence. Fence secures well and stays straight. Need to use a square to ensure straight cuts. Bought this saw after reading the previous reviews and glad I did. Instructions for assembling the stand were sparse but if you have a reasonable amount of intelligence, no problem.
