Finally a well rated Ryobi gasoline product ) Is this as good or possibly better than a Honda or Yamaha in design and durability ? Anyone used a propane or LNG kit for the carb ?

This unit surpasses a Honda with all its gadgets and the price tag is a lot better.their is no bad reviews on it at all on YouTube witch I have looked for for the last 3 months . And yes this unit puts out more power than a Honda 2000 no doubt.

Will this run a 13,500 btu AC in a camper (20amp ×115v)?

115×20 =2300 but I'm not sure if the watts on this generator will be enough starting watts based on 13,500 btu.
Asked by: Ppolidori
Yes! It does! Just tested and confirmed this evening with my RV. Read my full review of the product for more info. I may post a video shortly. It operates near the top of the power band (not in the red though), but ran beautifully during a three hour test. My RV's AC is an older Duotherm Brisk Air 13,500 BTU unit.

Bluetooth 2,300-Watt Super Quiet Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generator is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from QUIET!! I bought this as a way to power a pitching machine for the kids when we take it to the park. After hearing it run, I also feel like we could take it to the campground and not bother any other campers. I was looking at the red brand, but after reading reviews online, comparing the 2 side by side on specs, and my love for Ryobi tools, I decided on this one and saved some money. The bluetooth was super easy to set up and the readings on the app are great. The readout on the front of the generator is very clear and gives you a lot of info - in real time. Highly recommend anyone looking at the other brand to compare the 2, and consider saving yourself some money. This one is just as good - if not better. It takes a lot to impress me. In fact, I thought I was going to hate this generator because I am Honda generator guy through and through. I have owned three Honda EU2000's and a Honda EU3000 generator. This generator is about $400 cheaper than an EU2000 and way easier to use and maintain in my opinion. This generator has been fantastic! We run a fireworks tent in Utah. Firework season is the 4th of July and the 24th of July here (Pioneer Day). We run the generator roughly 10 - 12 hours a day. It runs that entire day on 1 tank of gas or about 1 gallon. In the evenings, it is loaded to about 60% running the lights, fans and point of sale system along charging all sort of devices. Never skips a beat. Starts right up every time. So far, we have logged 152 hours on it since purchasing it June 20th. We have changed the oil on it twice which is super easy and really clean the way they designed it. We monitor the generator using the Ryobi generator app on our iPhones. We always know how much fuel we have and the load it is under. One really cool feature is, when you run low on fuel, it automatically sends you an alert via the app that fuel is low. It has a built in hour meter that you can view from the app so you never miss an oil change or other maintenance requirements. Another awesome feature is, It is really light. The placement of the handles were very well thought out. Love the suitcase style extension that you can pull out and wheel the generator away. Ryobi has been paying attention for sure. One thing I cannot recommend strongly enough. Try to run ethanol free fuel in any generator and always always ALWAYS stabilize the fuel using a product like Sta-Bil. If you do that, you will rarely ever have a starting problem. That is from many years of experience and 1000's of hours logged on small gen sets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and fuel-efficient generator with convenience in mind... and revolutionary bluetooth I received this generator to replace my WEN 2,000 watt inverter generator. Overall, its an improvement over the predecessor. In general, this Ryobi generator is light, compact, efficient on fuel, relatively quiet, easy to maneuver and maintain and it can power a 15 amp circuit. I can easily carry it out of my shed then wheel it to the location needed. This can be used at work-sites, camp sites or during power outages. The bluetooth function is revolutionary and saves you from having to check on fuel. In this review, I included a short video with a brief tour of the generator and its operations. The generator arrived at my doorstep packaged very well in thick styrofoam. There was no damage to it, unlike my WEN which had a cracked panel from shipping. The Ryobi generator weights about 56 lbs without fuel and was easy to set up, just pour in the oil with the convenient paper funnel provided, add fuel, adjust choke and start it up. This generator was built with a lot of thought in mind; there is a suitcase handle (an improvement over the Ryobi 2,200w), two handles on either side and a pull out handle so you can wheel it around. The wheels are great on flat and somewhat rough surfaces like grass. Around the gas cap there is an overflow basin with a spillover, so, if you should spill gas, it doesn't pour all over the machine. To access inner components of the generator, there is an access panel which can be removed by just turning a knob, unlike my WEN in which I had to remove several screws. There is also another port you can take off in order to drain the oil more easily (see photo). Finally, all over the generator are instructions for use which are handy if you dont have the manual nearby. What I really like about this generator is it is powerful get efficient on fuel. 1,800 running watts means you can power a 15 amp circuit, just what I need to run my furnace fan in a power outage or anything you can plug into a 15 amp outlet. The 2,300 starting watts is great as well. The generator holds 1.2 gallons which will last you around 4 hours at a full load and over 15 in idle with a small load. Aside from the wattage, the number on thing to consider when buying a generator is the gas "mileage". If the gas stations are crowded or lose power too, you want as much fuel on hand and for it to go far. A lessen learned from storms including Katrina. This generator powered my 10 amp leaf blower which my WEN could not before overloading. The generator has two plugs and low and high watt USB ports and the inverter types are optimal for sensitive electronics. The LCD screen is very nice and keeps you informed on how much load is being drawn, how much fuel you have, and how much time until empty. (See picture) This is great info to have. I do hope the LCD screen lasts in the long-run thought. The generator also has an overload reset switch which is nice so you don't have to restart the generator in case of an overload. I do wish the screen would give actual wattage used. Finally, the app and bluetooth are awesome. You can monitor the generator from inside. I have to be about 30 ft away inside to get a reading but it saves runs outside in cold or bad weather. The app is simple and pretty much tells you what the LCD screen on the generator does (see picture). The only problem I have with the generator is the non-opening panel seems to shake and make a noise while the generator is in idle (see video).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Auto Idle and Bluetooth connectivity The Ryobi Bluetooth 2,300-Watt Green Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generator is great for emergencies or for remote power needs. The generator is protected very well in the shipping box with large Styrofoam sections. The product came with 12 oz of engine oil which must be poured in before starting it. There was a small paper funnel included to make this easier as it is near impossible to direct pour into the opening because the cover is in the way. This model improves over the previous generation with a smaller and more efficient engine. It also adds Bluetooth connectivity which allows you to pair with a smart phone to view run time remaining, fuel level, load level, as well as enable/disable auto idle and power off the generator. An integrated display with backlight also shows similar information. The front panel has two USB charge ports, two 120v 20A outlets, auto idle switch, 20 Amp circuit breaker, overload reset and a parallel kit connector for joining generators together to produce more power. Starting the unit is very easy. You set the dial to cold start and pull the cord a couple times until it fires up. Let it idle for 20-30 seconds then move the dial to run/re-start. If you have auto idle engaged, the motor will stay at a low idle until a load is detected then it fires up to the needed speed to support the load. As a test I attached a 1500 watt heat gun to pull a high amperage draw and the generator handled it easily. I like the Bluetooth functionality because you can keep the generator a safe distance away from your enclosed space but be able to easily monitor the fuel level and estimated remaining runtime without having to go outside to check it. This product has multiple carrying handles. There is a single handle on top for one handed carrying. There are also handles on each end on top for two handed carrying. Finally a collapsible handle can be extended from the bottom front to pull the generator around on its integrated wheels. While this unit is not powerful enough to run a household during a power outage, it can certainly be used to keep your refrigerator cold. Keeping a fridge full of food from going bad would allow this generator to pay for itself.

Game, set, match! I had a Champion Dual Fuel for my RV that had electric start, and over 3,000 watts of power. Great! The only issue? Well over 100 lbs, and absolutely massive. So that wasn't going to work. I purchased an Onan to replace the Generac, but found out after the purchase it was going to take a lot of fabrication to make the clunky old thing work. Nope. The only reason I wanted a generator was for air conditioning. My RV has 400 watts of solar and a 3,000 watt pure sine wave inverter. I can power the AC on batteries alone for about an hour, but it's just not sustainable. I was nervous as to whether or not the latest Ryobi model was going to work. The newest has a smaller engine (so I've heard), and most have said it's just not capable of powering an AC unit over 8-10k BTU. Wrong! Here's the trick: Turn off your power converter and make sure your refrigerator is running on propane. Turn off the fridge 'auto' setting as well, as it will automatically try for alternating current. You'll trip the breaker on the generator if trying to use both the air conditioner and the refrigerator on AC. Also, make sure you're using your 30AMP or higher cable as well as a heavy duty adapter. Finally, since I know I'll be asked: Air temp was 94 degrees. 500ft altitude. I've no idea (yet) how this will do above 2-3,000 feet. I'll test this out next week when I visit eastern Oregon for the solar eclipse. Fingers crossed that it performs at altitude. It's possible that the prior owner of my RV installed a hard start capacitor on the air conditioning unit. I've not removed the cover to check. If yours doesn't have one, they're less than $20 and take 30-60 minutes to install. Super easy. If mine doesn't have one, then even more props to Ryobi for a job well done. In Oregon, air conditioning is rarely used, so I expect that this generator is going to last a long time. Next up after summer camping season: trying it on Mt. Hood in the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real World Use Case At the time of writing this review there were seven others and many said it will run a small load. I bought this specifically to power my kenmore deep freezer and frigidaire giant refrigerator after a power outage left us without power for a few days. When I plugged JUST those two in this unit and they ran for over 12 hours. So, during the day I was able to power a few other items like my modem, router and laptop, which dropped the runtime about an hour. This thing is great. It's small, portable, and with the built in handles, easy to move. Glides great in hard surfaces, but a little trickier in the rougher ones (grass/gravel). My first start took a couple pulls, but it was easier afterwards. Perfect for emergencies and great for camping. I use this Scout activities often. Someone mentioned it was hard to understand or use. It comes with picture instructions, and I had it running in 10 minutes including putting in the oil and gas. Also, it does come with 12oz of 10w30 4 cycle, but they recommend replacement after about 20 hours of usage, so pick up another bottle. Couple items I love on the design: - Spillway for gas overflow. I wish I had this on my mower. - Spillway for oil replacement. Makes changing oil really easy. - 3 handles plus the luggage handle. - Simple operation - Run much quieter than most generators - Powerful and VERY fuel efficient - Bluetooth and App are cool nerd features that I enjoy. It's nice to turn your generator off without leaving the house or tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from RYOBI, I have a suggestion So far so good. Gas gauge, run time, and kill button from your phone. Ryobi just needs to add a Run Timer to the application. That way I can set my generator to run for 2 hours, so my batteries can charge while I'm away. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This generator packs enough power to light up, heat, and/or cool my pop-up camper. The Ryobi Bluetooth 2300 Watt Green Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generator became a welcome addition to my regular camping equipment as soon as it arrived. I require a constant 1,260 Watts to enable the power inverter, electric lights and all the appliances in my pop-up camper to operate properly. At this power level the inverter/generator runs smoothly and quietly for about 2.95 hours using 1.2 gallons of unleaded gasoline. A healthy 2,100 Watt surge is required when the roof-top air-conditioner starts into Hi-Cool mode. The Ryobi inverter powers this without a sputter. The power usage settles to a generator pleasing 950 Watts after the AC compressor settles into operation. I was pleased to find a unit as powerful as this in a small physical size that runs so quietly. The retractable tow handle and rear wheels at the back make moving this hi-tech machine wherever necessary a breeze. The compact size of the Ryobi Bluetooth 2300 is small enough to fit nicely into my Husky 70" Truck Tool Box and leave lots of room for the other necessary items. I expected the unit to be equipped with a camper plug-in but, it is not. So I used a short, 12-gauge, heavy-duty, 120-volt, grounded extension cord to test the generator/camper combo before taking it on an adventure. This same connection combination works to power 2 refrigerator/freezers and a small chest freezer during two power-outages that occurred at my home in the country. The Ryobi started the first time I pulled the starter cord and runs so quietly that, when placed a short distant from the camper, we do not notice it. When the AC is off and the refrigerator has cooled down, the generator‘s idle-down feature kicks in before I turn it off for the night. With the inverter’s Bluetooth feature and GENControl app, I can monitor the real-time fuel, load, and runtime data that shows on the LED screen in the control panel from my smartphone. I can, also, remotely shut down or reset the generator using this app. This inverter generator is safe for sensitive electronic devices allowing me to connect my computer, Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite dish, or flat-screen TV to the electrical system being supplied with power. I think I will order one of the parallel-kits and a second Ryobi Bluetooth 2300 Watt Green Gasoline Powered Digital Inverter Generator to link together for enough power to run a digital, giant screen HDTV to watch the big games and enjoy microwaved pop-corn while camping out at the lake!
