Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice little tiller When I was researching small gas tillers, I soon realized that the Ryobi engine (power head) had the same displacement as many other tillers in my budget range - about 26cc - and I already had the engine and some other attachments. So I picked up this unit, and haven't regretted it. It's a little heavy, but the included adjustable shoulder strap helps distribute the weight. It doesn't cut through sod - but I understand that most residential tillers don't either. It has jammed a couple of times when fist-sized rocks got wedged between the tines, but usually these can be removed fairly easily, although once I had to get a hammer. It does a great job of mixing compost from our compost bins into the garden soil. We use it for our flower gardens and several small vegetable plots, including some box gardens. May 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great for small jobs It's great for small beds where the soil has already been agitated but not so great for larger jobs. The weight is a little light so it requires quite a bit of downward force, and is somewhat unwieldy. October 14, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Roto tiller I bought this last night. I tilled my garden of about 30' x 8' in about 30 minutes with NO back ache. The only thing I can say about this tiller is " I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT" May 27, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Used to till my hard, rocky front yard for new planting I have nothing but good things to say about this cultivator. I used with my Husqvarna 128LD with no problems at all. The thing is heavy, so if you're not a strong person, you should maybe take frequent breaks if you use it as I did. The soil that I used this on was hard and rocky, but the thing kept going with no problems, other than getting roots swirled up in it. The blades still look new in spite of all I put it through, and I used it for a good 16 hours overall. I wouldn't suggest using it to till up your 3600+ square foot yard, but if you don't know anyone with a tiller, then this should be your cheaper go-to. It'll take longer, but hey! It's only time, right? And one can always buy more time, no? What? Dang! Shoulda bought a tiller then...oh well. April 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product but heavy I bought this to use with my weedeater and it worked great. The only problem was that I am 60 years old and it was just too heavy for me to use. I needed a stand alone tiller rather than one that I would have to hold while using. I did make the decision to return it and buy a cultivator tiller that I can handle much better, but I made sure that store associates knew that there was nothing wrong with it, it was just ME that couldn't manage it comfortably. I was very happy with the way it worked though and definitely would recommend it for a younger person. December 18, 2014
