Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by golferman I have a Ryobi Expand-it power unit and have used it for many years with my lawn trimmer and edger, so I thought when I decreased the size of my garden that this unit would be just the ticket. I was wrong, I used it for about an hour before it seized up and I had to take it back to the store. I'm sure it is fine for real light tilling but not so requiring it to work hard on clay soil. The store clerk showed me a unit that much better suited my needs and was less hard on me to move around. This unit is not that light weight when you are trying to use it for any length of time, my forearm began to get tired and sore.

It works very well in soft soil.
But for anything hard or firm the machine is too light.
Fix this review site also it is so screwed up I had to re write this review 3 times.
It has a problem backing up and deleting letters.
Good luck maybe that's what you want so people get frustrated and give up. Not leaving a review

Attached it to my power head and within 30 minutes I was done turning my soil in all my raised flower beds. Now the head is heavy I would not recommend if you have issues lifting or being able to hang on during operation.

I bought this Ryobi cultivator to attach to my Cub Cadet power head. It has the universal connector that you find on many consumer models ( I have read that echo and sthil have their own connectors.) it is a solid unit. it was hard to get through dry Oregon clay. watering it down the day before helped and breaking it up with a shovel or pick gives you pieces that the tiller can chew up. your arms do get a good work out. This is definitely for gardens and bushes. If you are doing a lawn rent a good rear tine tiller.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pahrumpian Great Product!
This power cultivator was the first power cultivator I've ever used. I was really pleased with it's performance, and it wasn't hard to control. It did the job in my planter boxes so fast and easy that I was wondering where else on my property I could use it.
No problem attaching to the power source. Assembly was easy -- just attaching the cultivating blades to the cultivator motor axle.
This was a good purchase for me, although I may only use it only once or twice a year.
The "Expand-It" concept is great -- and, saves money because you don't have to buy a specific, dedicated power tool that can only be used for one specific purpose (unless that's what you need).
