I bought this Ryobi cultivator to attach to my Cub Cadet power head. It has the universal connector that you find on many consumer models ( I have read that echo and sthil have their own connectors.) it is a solid unit. it was hard to get through dry Oregon clay. watering it down the day before helped and breaking it up with a shovel or pick gives you pieces that the tiller can chew up. your arms do get a good work out. This is definitely for gardens and bushes. If you are doing a lawn rent a good rear tine tiller.

This power cultivator was the first power cultivator I've ever used. I was really pleased with it's performance, and it wasn't hard to control. It did the job in my planter boxes so fast and easy that I was wondering where else on my property I could use it.
No problem attaching to the power source. Assembly was easy -- just attaching the cultivating blades to the cultivator motor axle.
This was a good purchase for me, although I may only use it only once or twice a year.
The "Expand-It" concept is great -- and, saves money because you don't have to buy a specific, dedicated power tool that can only be used for one specific purpose (unless that's what you need).

This little monster is great for turning soil around the edges of a garden along with around plants. My garden is approx 130ftX13ft, this cultivator does a pretty good job. 2 draw back to this , 1 not very effective breaking packed soil, 2 the cultivator and motor is bulky and heavy. I'm a pretty fit 57 yr old, and it will give me quite a work out. If you should purchase this , would be advisable to purchase a strap to help take some of the weight off your arms. Have purchased 2, 4stroke mini cultivators both which lasted 1 and half seasons before they burned up and at $300, dollars a piece, this is well worth a little work out .If you dont mind a little sweat , this is a great buy for the price. One last thing is, its made very well, not a cheap tool. Hope this was useful.

Attached to Ryobi 40v li-ion string trimmer head. Have used only once briefly. Was concerned that 40v head would not be powerful enough. For light duty cultivating it worked well. Have no used enough yet to establish blush run time. With limited experience, I would recommend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2ADN Works fine on my small garden
I needed to till our two small garden areas (total of about 60 square feet), and I already had the trimmer, so I thought I'd try this. It was easy to attach to the trimmer head. Our soil has lots of clay, so it was slow going. I had to rest a couple times, but it made it through on one charge of the battery.
