When I tried to pilot a hole using the smallest bit in jatoba ( AKA Brazilian Cherry ) it bound the drill and spun it out of the hex. Now jatoba is _tough_ but it's *not* hardened steel like some have suggested it can drill. I had thought these were a set of tap drills but it was just me misreading the description. They were not as sharp out of the package as I had expected. As cheap bits they are ok, but _caveat emptor_ (buyer beware) . . . MadMark

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap. Saying they will drill metal might be overstating the quality of this product. Drilling ... Cheap. Saying they will drill metal might be overstating the quality of this product. Drilling out some simple rivets broke or reduced the bit. They worked better than a cheap drill bit set yet I thought the titanium would work much better. That being said they allowed me to complete the work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Skewed Drills Found drill bits themselves were not made in the same "centricity" as the bits 1/4" hex base. Consequently, the drill bit "wobbled" when drilling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst drill bits ever! On the first hole on soft pine, all for drill bits dulled off the bat and the titanium came right off. I sharpened these, then while using them in a drill press, they snapped right in half. For less than 3 times the price of this junk, you can get a Milwaukee 14 piece drill bit set with sizes from 1/16 to 1/2 inch that cuts through steel like a hot knife through butter. These Ryobi drill bits are great for drilling through soap. I still love my Ryobi drill press however.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite decent if used for intended application. Used these to drill rivet and lace holes in aluminum and stainless steel, had no problem with them, so looked at other reviews. Saw that they gave 1 star after trying to use a metal bit on wood...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke the first day! I used these for drilling pilot holes in wood door casing. I thought titanium would mean 'durable.' I was wrong!
