The stand works fine. Assembly is easy, but I have to say that there was no notice on the information for the stand that there was some assembly required. If there is assembly required potential customers need to be made aware of that fact.
The only inherent problem with this stand is that even on a level floor it rocks from side to side. I have to put something underneath one of the legs to keep it from rocking. Even if it is a cheap stand that is an unnacceptable manufacturing error.
Not very portable, but you can move it around if you really want to. For the $ you really can't complain too much considering all the other stands are hundreds more.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Theavid1 In terms of value for money this stand simply cannot be beat. It is also as sturdy as any other stand in the market for the typical DIY'er.
I purchased it at HD last week for $89 which is an unbelievable price...some comparable stands sell for alot more. I took it home and had it up and running in under 15 minutes. It'll suit any mitre saw out there. It extends to about 10 or 12 feet (I didn't measure it but it's wide) which makes it ideal for moldings or all sizes, shapes and lengths.
It has no wheels but it's lightweight makes it easy to carry around.
It comes with the legs fully assembled and opening/closing is a snap. The height is perfect. All hardware included. When you're done, fold it up and put it in the corner or just leave the saw on it.
I really like this Ryobi product and recommend.

Excellent mitre saw stand that is actually very stable on concrete and grass. Its portable, but with no wheels means carrying instead of wheeling, but really not something you think about. The arms extend out for a good stable cutting surface. Overall very well built stand.
Gave it a 4/5 because one of the plastic handles broke on the saw attachment arms. Standard quality plastic, but shouldn't have been an issue. Approx $45 for a replacement set..

I recently purchased this saw stand. It is a great item and works very well. I like the adjustability of the extension arms and the height adjustors. You can also slide the whole saw on the stand to make a stop so you can cut multiple pieces the same length. It is very sturdy as long as you get it level. I would highly recommend this stand to any amateur builder. My saw is a 10" dual compound sliding saw and fits well on the stand.

I ended up getting this recently as part of the buy 2 get one free sale @ Home Depot and I must say, I'm very impressed with it. Solid build, the extension bars, once configured properly are a huge time saving option! Even if I hadn't received this for free, I think I eventually would have purchased it (Roybi junkie). Only option that would be nice (I will be adding them myself) would be wheels on one end to allow moving it quickly.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 happy with my purchase
This stand is one of the sturdiest on the market.I not only use it for my miter saw but my bench top planer.
The extensions give extra support for longer boards and stop snip that was a problem with the longer work. I have made several bases for bench top tools to use with this stand and have been very happy with the added versatility it has given me. Also it's half the cost of a Dewalt.

I am in the renovation business, and this stand is perfect for my needs. I get good material support, the saw is stable, and the stand is easily transportable. I bought this stand after reading a review in Fine Homebuilding magazine, and have no regrets. I may get a second one so that I can have both my chop saw and sliding miter saw mounted at the same time.

I don't have much experience mith mitre saw stands, but as a home hobbyist, I can say that this one was extremely helpful. I had 14-foot baseboards to cut, and this stand is a must for keeping them flat on the mitre saw. It extends to about 10-12 feet long. Without it, I would have been cutting on the ground, and my back would be paying the price right now.
