I love it Great for cleaning grass and leaves off my sidewalk and as for being loud it's a lot quieter then my old gas blower. If you think your going to use it more then 15 minutes then you should think about buying another battery.

The blower is lightweight enough. It had the power to blow hickory nuts and small sticks, leaves, etc. However... the battery only lasted for about 7 minutes. I let it charge completely before using it.
Didn't even have enough battery life to blow off my entire driveway. Have the ability to also use electric cord with this, but, not sure I want to have to drag an extension cord up my long driveway.
I may be returning this!!

Purchased this unit, charged the battery and used it the next day. Major disappointment in that it has very little blowing power. My Toro corded unit with variable speed is superior, but I wanted convenience so I though okay, I'll adjust. Swept the driveway and sidewalk after mowing.
Five days later I mowed and about 25% into the job the blower slowed down and then clicked and stopped working. Poor battery life. Charged the battery for 15 minutes and it was a steady red which means the battery is dead.
Went on vacation for almost 2 weeks got home and called Ryobi customer service, they told me to the battery was dead and take it to a Home Depot store for them to replace. They she asked if I still had my receipt and I said yes. It was over 30 days since I got it but she said check the receipt, it will say 30 or 90 days return policy. I smiled, 90 days.
Returned it to Home Depot. No problems. I was happy. Walked back to the yard took area and looked at a more expensive blower from Ryobi. Come to find out, the 1st I bought had an 18 volt 1.3 amp battery. I looked at the next model up and it had a 18 volt 4 amp battery. Wow. Also had a variable speed lever, much better than the 1st one that was on/off switch. So I spent the extra $20. Did a swap and paid $20 difference.
Have used the 2nd one 3 times. Oh is it superior. Blower speed is high and it covers a better distance. Slightly heavier but nice balance. Big opening, not small like the 1st one. It has a 4 amp 18 volt battery and a button on the battery with 4 LED lights to tell you the battery discharge level. Now that is sweet.
First use, it did a great job. Second use was good and had 3 LED showing. Near the end of the mowing on the 3rd time it slowed slightly but not much. This has so much more power than the hybrid model and the battery life is so so much better. Love it.

An ingenious device. Cords reach only so far; I have woods and trails around, to clear of leaves, so I can use 120v near the house and the battery further away.
I wonder how the designers did this. It's so lightweight, I doubt it has either a transformer or two separate motors; yet it works on hi-volt AC and lo-volt DC. Smart!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by toytech21 Easy To Use But Needs Better Battery
We bought this blower to use to blow out our barn periodically. It's light and easy to use, clears hay and dirt off our rubber mats well but the battery life sucks. We can blow out the 10x30' isle 3 times and the wash rack once and the battery is done. Since we don't have power in the barn yet the corded part is not useful yet. Look at something different if your wanting to rely on battery power alone as this one leaves much to be desired.

Does the job very well. Battery outlasts any blowers I have ever had. Air flow is plenty to get the job done. Clears my driveway 112 x 22 feet with one battery. Old B & D took 2 batts. I am using std batt that comes with it

Bought this blower got it home used it and put it back in the box and returned it. It will blow a little grass but you have to be right up on it. Didn't impress me at all. I returned it and bought me a Echo gas blower it cost $50 more bucks but sure worth it. Don't waist your money on this blower.
