Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Riniboo It's weak, battery life is short
I am not even comparing this to any gas blower, this blower is so weak that it cannot even get close to my 120V Toro leaf blower at $40 I bought 5 years ago, it's a bit disappointed for the price I paid even it's on sale. As others pointed out, battery life is very short, luckily I also have the Ryobi 18V trimmer (trimmer is fine), my yard isn't big at all and I need both batteries to finish my job everytime I cut my grass. Don't even think about using this to blow the snow in winter off your car or walkway, it's not powerful enough. Put it this way, if you NEVER had any kind of leaf blower in your life, probably you will be happy. Otherwise, you will agree with me... guaranteed.

Purchased this to go with my Ryobi grass trimmer. Nice and light weight, easy to handle and move around. The battery fully charged life span is terrible, got about 20 minutes and it died off pretty quick. Solution was to take the 18V battery from my grass trimmer and as it fits being a Ryobi, what a difference on that battery. If it was not for the grass trimmer battery fitting and working much better it would have been returned for sure. Overall it will only work for a very small yard for about 20 minutes or so and this was not running the full 20 minutes but turned off and on as needed. Too bad as the weed trimmer is excellent. Battery with the blower is a backup only and would never work for leaf blowing in the fall regardless of you lawn size.

This simply does not have the power to push large amounts of grass clippings, let alone leaves. While the battery lasted pretty good (over 30 minutes), it was useless due to the lower CFM being pushed.
Went with EGO instead, as it pushes 480 CFM and clears anything and everything. The EGO's battery design is far superior as well, and fast charges in under 30 minutes. Avoid the Ryobi; go with EGO instead.

This is the weakest blower I've ever seen. I'm convinced I could get more use out of my wife's hair dryer. I will be returning tomorrow.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bobbuilder Convenient and easy to use
This blower works great for grass clippings and sand on patio. My 8 year old can keep the walkways and patio clean while I do the triimming. I wanted another charger and lithium battery for my other ryobi tools so I bought this. This does not work well on wet leaves or large piles of leaves. It is a portable ,quick ,blow out the garage clean off the driveway , after mowing type of blower. If you have a lot of leaves to move buy a gas powered unit.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mdmarshall75 Good for hard dry surfaces, bad for grass or wet surfaces
Easy to put together. Nice that you can use a battery, but it works much better when you plug it in to an extension cord. Works marginal, at best, on battery power, and not at all if the ground is wet. Works well on hard surfaces when plugged in, but still struggles on wet surfaces. If you just want to clean off your driveway, deck, patio, or sidewalk if they are dry, I would highly recommend this. If you want to blow leaves out of our yard, move on to something else.

So I have here a hybrid leaf blower. One of the first in the outdoor tooling realm that can work on both corded power and battery. That's cool. It took 10 seconds to set up, so that's a plus for you! Just snap on a couple pieces, and bada bing bada boom, you're ready! The blower includes a battery and charger, GREAT! Do you realize what this means? This means you can use this battery not just with this blower, but with any other Ryobi tool! There's the brad nailer, the saw, the drill ... the possibilities are endless! The battery and charger alone cost quite a bit, so this product doubles as a blower and battery/charger right off the bat! Very handy and useful. As far as power for the blower though, it's not quite as powerful as you'd think. It's more of a sweeper than a blower, in that it doesn't blow grass all over the place, just literally sweeps it along. Now this to me, is a good thing! It gives me more control of where I want the leaves and grass clippings to go without making a big mess. The leaf blower doesn't quite feel like 150 mph, however, the fact that I'm able to make the blower cordless makes up for it. The blower has an on and off switch that is extremely easy to use during operation, and very easy to manipulate with my thumb. It doesn't have a variable air speed switch, though. The Ryobi battery nor the blower have any lights to indicate how much power you have left; we as humans simply like to know these kinds of things, but the good thing about the blower is we can easily and quickly switch the battery out and plug in an electric cord in case we needed just a few more minutes to get the job done. When it is corded, it seems to have a bit more edge in power, which can be heard from the motor in the blower. As for battery life, I've been able to get plenty of clippings from the driveway and sidewalk around my house with ease. I really like the cordless ability, and the control and weight to the blower. It's quite light to carry around. When in operation, it gives off a rather high-pitched sound among an overall mid hum, and then after about 15 minutes it starts to lower the pitch, to indicate the blower is about to die. Charging is easy as one, two, three. There are indication lights on the charger to designate when the battery is charging, and when it's charged.
If you're looking for something to assist with sweeping your yard around in a cordless fashion, this will definitely get it done. Or perhaps for a Ryobi battery and charger? Go to the store and look at how much the battery and charger costs, and then look at the blower with the battery and charger; you will see you're getting quite a good deal in this scenario. Definitely recommend it over the other blowers since it can run on corded and not just cordless, and the battery that comes with it can be used with other tools in Ryobi's lineup.

If the battery or charger had worked longer than a month I would have rated this much higher. While it's true that it's not a high power blower, it works well enough on the driveway and deck and light weight for us older gals. But the charged battery only ever lasted 10 minutes so I had to hurry to get things done. Now, it doesn't work at all, so I don't know if it is the charger, or the battery, I will have to buy both to find out which it is, then return one of the other. What a pain!
