Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 92 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Drill Bought this drill because I wanted to complete my Ryobi kit. Used it for the first time and it did a fantastic job. Drilled 4, 5/16 holes in brick to mount a crawl space fan. 3 of the holes where right on the edge of the brick and it still drilled them with out busting out the side of the brick. The hammer action is just enough to do the job but not so aggressive to cause issues. August 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as described. I work in light construction and use this to drill mostly concrete anchors, works great. I do occasionally have to drill 9'+( I use a 12' 1/16 bit then a 12' 3/8 bit to save on wear and tear and battery ) for wires to cameras and other devices, works OK when drilling that much at one time. I do recommend that you use the 4ah batteries just so you dont have to swap out batteries nearly as often. Its not made to drill 9' of concrete but will do if you are not to hard on it. IF you use if for bigger holes, it will melt the batteries because its using so much power to ge ti t done. A larger SDS is better for coring but then a Hilti is 600 bucks plus! April 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great for the price Great price for an SDS drill. I did buy the Makita 18 volt SDS drill. The Makita has chipping feature which the Ryobi does not have. However, the price difference is less than half and Ryobi batteries are much less expensive. So, for the price and good drilling action this was a winner. May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Everything was very user friendly and have not had any issues with durability May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what I expected from it For a battery powered SDS, it performs well. From my 5/32 to 1/2" holes, it drills into the floor very well. Don't push hard, just hard enough to let the hammer action do its job. Use the 4mah batteries, though! February 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Joe electrician Had mine almost 5 years in an industrial plant. Very handy when you only have 20 or 30 holes to drill. Especially in a lift where you don't have to worry about running over extension cords.I have drilled 1-1/2 diameter 8" deep core holes thru cinder block slugged solid with mortar, took a few minutes and used half a battery. Do recommend the 4ah battery it is a power hog. It does struggle with hardend concrete such as floor and precast 1/2" diameter is the largest I recommend for that, just doesn't hit as hard as a hilti. After two years it started acting up so I took it apart and cleaned it and adjusted the brushes in the motor. I do reccomend greasing it yearly. Has earned its place in my tool box. I still have a spot open for a one+ band saw if they ever get around to it. December 20, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible hammerdrill This drill didn't even last through 3 holes in block. It would not rotate at all on the 3rd hole I was drilling, it kept dying and at first I thought it was the batteries, but a freshly charged battery would not work either. I returned this item and got a corded Milwaukee sds plus rotary hammerdrill. January 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by does the job Does the job and allows for mobility wirthout the hastle of a chord. Was impressed with its ability even though was battery operated. Very glad I made the purchace October 27, 2015
