This is a great product, accepts the old type batteries, it's easy to carry anywhere your work takes you, easy to set up and a time saver.
I put up window trim in a heartbeat along with the Ryobi nail gun. I'm cutting tongue and groove 3 1/2 inch pine boards at 30 and 36 degrees to perfection with this saw. It stops within seconds which is saving me time compared to my 10 inch table saw in the basement, safety guards are great and the laser is a nice touch.
I had to call my son in the US who ordered this and sent it to me within 2 weeks, I tried to order it online through the Canadian website but it was on backorder with no date and would not allow me to order it even though you could only order online for this product. I hope HomeDepot works out there differences with the supplier and gets this available for all of Canadians, you are missing out on a great sales opportunity.
I'm a Ryobi product fan and look forward to more innovation from them. The greatest selling point is that you can use any of their batteries on any of their cordless products.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bagss Great addition to Ryobi tools. Works as advertised. Perfect for small DYI projects around the home. Used right out of the box did not have to square it up. Now all I need is a stand.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RayJB921 Great for cutting meters. Especially if you have never done this.
I purchased this model so I did not have to worry about cords and it uses the same batteries as all the other tools I purchased. For some one that never used a table saw this has been very easy and using suggestions on line I was able to make excellent cuts and the job looks great.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DIYGuy I like this saw for what it was designed for
If you are going to be cutting some 2x6's, 4x4's or even 2x4's on a regular basis this saw is not for you.
This saw is for small jobs like trimming out windows, framing a small closet and other odd jobs like cutting aluminum (use a 140 tooth blade) for replacement window screens. For that it is perfect.
It is light, easy to pack around and best of all it doesn't need any cord to make it run. I did a small job the other day and cut about 20 2x4's, and one 2x6 and then cut a bunch of trim to add on a closet in a basement bedroom. It did all of that on one battery. In fact I built the whole closet without a power cord. Even the portable light was batter powered.
For small quick jobs this is the saw to use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dummy001 My 1st Miter saw
My 1st Miter saw. Bought this to add to my 6 pc Ryobi tools I got for Father's Day. Never used any power tools before except for power drill. This saw is very easy to use. Just read the manual on how to set up and went to Ryobi site for some basic instruction on how to use and was cutting 2x4s in no time.
The saw is very light. Easy to use. I'm a seasoned DIY'fer but the quality to is very good. Uses the Ryobi 18V One Plus System. I'm not planning on doing elaborate projects (out of my league), but for doing some odd and ends around the house, it's perfect for me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JMfrommichigan Great saw
Bought this to add to my collection of Ryobi cordless tools and was not disappointed. Used for cutting 2.25 x .75 inch hardwood flooring in small projects around the house and it works great. Haven't tried it on anything larger (I have a 10 inch corded saw for that). But so far I'm impressed with how it cuts. I'm not surprised by the quality as I've never had a problem with any of my Ryobi tools.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Olyinaz Great cordless saw, excellent value
This is such a great little tool. If you already own this line of tools/batteries then you'd be silly not to add this incredibly useful bench-top and portable tool to your shop, garage or truck.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fernbark This is a light duty saw, but works ok for 2x4 or smaller
If you don't need to cut anything bigger than a 2x4, and you are not making a lot of cuts, this isn't too bad of a saw. If find that it cuts pretty slowly, and if you are expecting 110v performance, you will be disappointed. It has much going for it, like size, weight, price, and being cordless. I use it out in the wood, which makes it nice to have, but it would be much better if it was faster and could cut larger lumber. My main issue with this device is that it binds up with out much pressure, shutting the saw off.
