Can this be submerged?

Asked by: Terry
No. I would say water resistant as I use mine out in light rain occasionally but submerging it would not be a good thing.

LED ALternative Bulb Replacement

Is there an available LED Bulb replacement for this flashlight? Or a specific bulb item number that can be cross referenced online so that I can locate one? I am thinking that an LED would burn more brightly, run cooler and show brighter than a standard incandescent not to mention that it would let the battery last longer.

I use to use Dewalt and about fifteen years ago I purchased my first Ryobi Drill. And I was hooked! Need I say I'm a BIG Ryobi fan. Quality is fantastic and you really can't beat the price anywhere or among any other tools. I have two Ryobi 18-Volt lights and needed a third. I keep these around the house when the power goes out, nice to have a GREAT flashlight. And the grandkids love playing with them tool. These are well built, well constructed, take a beating and keep on lighting. This recent purchase is the brightest one of the three I own and one or mine is 15 years old, so they are built to last. Thanks Ryobi and Thanks Home Depot for such great products in an 18 volt battery line of professional tools priced for all of us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great flash light Well it's hot to the touch and not sure it is able to exchange a bulb if the light goes out. But the unit itself is handy and I had to get another because our nephew kept taking ours. It's nice to light up a tent or to see around the dark. It's nice to have the charging batteries and you can't beat the price. It would be nice if you could change the bulbs or have leds but if it lasts awhile it's still less disposable than others on the market. Well we took the plunge and are trying out the other lights in the set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works If you all ready have the 18v batteries, you need 2 or 3 of these flashlights. Bright, sits firmly on the ground and the rotating head is great to put the light where you need it. I have three of them so multiple people can use them at the same time and when a storm is coming I make sure all of the batteries are charged. We have had to use this flashlight as dining room lighting for dinner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small tool ,bright light This tool has a nice bright light for its size. This light is perfect for keeping close by in case the power goes out in your house or even keeping in your car in case you get a flat tire at night for extra light. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is to flashlights what wheels are to luggage An idea this useful that took so long to develop is amazing. Extremely handy when working in tight awkward quarters such as under a sink while installing a faucet. You can get the light where you need it. Ryobi scores another one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Battery failed instantly when under house. Not LED. When I made it out,i tested it. It worked with nicad, but the lithium ion p102 battery would not charge. Not for critical situations.. kills 40dollar batteries. Under warranty... nice swivel head for angles fine brightness...

When I went to pick it up they gave me a P705 18V LED Flashlight. I said: "That doesn't look like the picture on your web site." They said: "No, this is it. This is what you ordered." The area light I ordered has a larger and brighter light and sells for the same price as the the P705 which they foisted off on me. This is probably a much better light, but how would I know?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke the first time I used it I haven't had this experience with any other Ryobi tools but this like broke the first time I used it. I literally sat it down next to me and it went out. I tried different batteries hoping that was the issue but had no luck.
