Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What the average home owner needs. I looked at Dewalt, Makita, Bosch but I bought Ryobi As a homeowner I bought a drill when I first bought my house, it worked ok (it was a blue canadian big box brand). It worked and was handy around the house. I don't drive deck screws every day, and don't build houses and I don't put my tools through a lot of contractor style abuse. I need it to work next week next month and 5 years from now. Well that drill I bought still works fine, but the battery charger is dead. Can I get another one? No, they changed the battery design. Same is true with all the major brands, every few years new battery, new connection to the tool, new charger. Replacement ya right. Buy a new drill. But I bought Ryobi because the lithium Ion batteries that I got with this drill and driver set will fit on a drill they made a decade ago that came with nicad batteries. And even though I don't have any old Ryobi if I did those old batteries work in this new charger that comes with this new drill and driver!! That's what a homeowner needs, well built, good warranty, and batteries that don't go obsolete in 2 years, because the use I put on my drill in 5 years is a week for a contractor. It's not worn out, I need to be able to keep it running, and with the same battery hey maybe I will buy some more Ryobi One tools, weed wacker, flashlight or whatever. I respect this company for just keeping the batteries the same, it made me buy them. April 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Value and Great Reliability I purchased this combo kit back in May 2014 as I was doing a major home renovation. These tools performed above and beyond what I expected, and they're still going strong. The lithium batteries last a long time between charges and have tons of power for whatever task is needed done. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a low priced drill/driver set that is more than worth what you pay. December 31, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow All I can say is wow. I love the fact that one battery and so many tools. Lithium batteries are light with mucho power. I am a tool guy like some woman love shoes and purses. I will be adding to my Ryobi tool collection(much to my wife's head shacking) but she does add to my addiction by getting me a brad nailer when I look at her with Doe eyes. Anyway I really love Ryobi. December 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RYOBI ONE+ Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Kit - Owned this combo for a year and a half. Used a lot with no problems. They are light weight and last a long time before recharging. It's hard to believe you can buy this combo for the selling price. \i bought them on sale for $100. What a deal!! November 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RYOBI ONE+ Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Kit My drill kit was delivered in super fast time from Home Depot. After unpacking, charged both batteries and got to work. I don't have a project on the go right now so screwed a few 3 inch screws in a piece of 4x4 and back out again just for the heck of it. So easy, with masses of torque with both drills and the impact drill gives bags of control. The kit comes in a really handy carrying case which carries not only the drills but the battery charger too. I like the magnetic area on the base of both drills for carrying a different drill bit or a few screws. I am building a deck next week so I will see how the drills and batteries perform and I will re-review after that. So far couldn't be happier. (especially about the price) May 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the money! I just finished my fence and deck this summer and used these tools for everything. They worked great and the batteries lasted long and charged fast. I loved that the batteries provided fade-free power. I highly recommend this product! August 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great package at unbeatable price. This new drill/driver combo's batteries still work in my 6 tool 18v combo I bought in 2003. No one else in this business has this type of forward comparability. Yes Ryobi!! December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable and priced well. As an avid DYIer I am always looking for products that are well priced, but more importantly reliable. I needed to replace my old dewalt tools and decided to try out the Ryobi line. I actually didn't expect much from this product, but was very well surprised. When I purchased it, I was expecting to use them as a backup because my other drills were starting to give out. Today, I would not hesitate to consider buying another Ryobi product. I have had great luck with them and have saved tons of money. I now use the Ryobi drills as my main go to drill. I have this for close to 2 years now and they are still running like new. I have use them to finish my basement and I abused the drills and they still held up like champs. Drilled in several hundred screws and used the impact driver for drilling in tapcons with ease. Too bad my drill bits don't last as long. The batteries are working well for me. I like the fact that they charge really quick and give me enough power to handle my tasks. The best part is that when I'm not using my drills, i am able to use the batteries to power my weed wacker which is made by Ryobi. The only downside I have is with the drill itself. The drill is large, so it's hard to get into small places with it. Difficult to squeeze between 16 on center studs. And it doesn't have a hammer function. But otherwise, I would recommend.
