Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SOGH GREAT for a booth in a festival!
I come from museum art world and Im one of those cool people in a booth at art festivals - which typically have no electricity. I'm always flooded with people and to be cooler, and not soaking in sweat on 95 degree humid mid-atlantic days, i got two of these fans! the light breeze they provide on low setting last for the quoted 10 hours easily!!!! that shocked me. I haven't tried the high setting because i'd rather have low setting all day than run out the battery in a few hours and be stuck sweltering. I"m going to do a test run at home with the high setting to see how long it lasts but reports online say about 3 or 4 hours it seems. which is great if you'd like the higher speed for a shorter time. overall, for outdoor events, cookouts... or art world festivals... where electricity is limited. these are AWESOME! I'm thinking about getting two more. for a booth setting, they're totally worth it! even with buying more expensive batteries - they are worth it.

I just purchased this fan today, with a charger and a p105 battery. I charged the battery. I didn't time it but it was less than an hour. On low, it has a decent airflow. On high it has a lot of airflow. I started the fan on low at 1:50pm with the newly charged battery. It's still running at 9:50pm. I bought it to hang on a dog crate at lure coursing events and it hangs perfectly by the hook. So far I am very impressed. The usual crate fans are smaller with less airflow and require 6-8 D batteries. I think I will get a lot more use from this one with superior performance. I can also use it while camping. Highly recommend!

Because it's hard to find a place to grasp, it is not easy to move the fan around. The power switch is in an odd location. That's not the worst of it, though.
It must have worked the first hour, which was mid-morning. After two hours, it was barely blowing. The third hour, placing it 6" away, I could not feel any air movement. As the day heated up, I needed it more. This fan just did not deliver.
How is it possible that this is called a fan?
I bought it so that I would have cool air during a planned power outage and I am lucky that it was in the mid 70s. The specs say up to ten hours on low setting, I would have changed batteries if I thought that would make things better.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Brenda great concept but doesnt meet needs
I purchased this product for a camping trip. Luckily I tested it before the trip. I tested the fan using 2 different Ryobi batteries - an old one and a brand new lithium one. Both batteries were fully charged. I tested the fan on the "high" setting (there is a low setting but it moves so little air that it is not useful). On the old battery the fan ran for approximately 5 hours. On the new battery the fan ran for approximately 3 hours. Conclusion: For my purposes these run times are simply too short. I'm disappointed because the design of the fan is very nice and it is great concept. I will be returning this fan.

I bought this on a whim and thought it might be useful during camping. I've used it plenty while working in the garage as I was doing work with resin, in the house to blow smoke from burnt toast, and did ok blowing saw dust while using a jigsaw. You can't beat it for the price and would recommend anyone with Ryobi batteries to purchase.

Banged around camping and in garage, The fan still works.
Through the torture it now has a slight blade rub but with the "Big Boy Batteries" it still runs all night in the wilderness. Since the price drop it has become a decent value for what it was intended. This is my second fan, the other did not survive being driven over by my SUV.

This fan is not only portable, but also produces excellent airflow, unlike some other battery fans. It is perfect for putting next to my dog's crate to keep her cool at agility trials or hunt tests.
It seems to be builty pretty solid. However, after about a dozen or so uses, the blade popped off while I was carrying the fan. I had to use a tiny allen wrench to unscrew about 20 allen screws to get the fan apart to pop the blade back in. Some of the screws are in awkward positions so it took a lot longer than I expected. Then fan is now working fine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seabrook Great rechargeable fan for power outages!
I bought this fan specifically for dealing with extended power outages during hot humid summer nights. Paired with a new fully charged P103 battery (1.5A/hour capacity) I ran the fan on high speed for three hours and twelve minutes before it stopped. Though I haven't tested it yet a P108 battery (4 A/hour capacity) should run it for eight and half hours, enough for one to sleep comfortably through the night. The battery will then be recharged during daylight hours when I resume running my generator. At least that's the plan.
