I'm confused because in all the pictures it looks like it takes the one plus battery, but in the video it shows the guy using a cord. Which is it?

HI Kman! Thank you for taking interest in our Ryobi product line. The P4360A and the P4361 are the pole saw models that use the 18 volt battery. We also make this pole saw as an electric version, model number RY43160A. Thanks for your question!

If you need to prune limbs around an inch or less in diameter, you could consider using a shearing tool. It will make a nice clean cut.

You might be better off using a hedge trimmer for your holly. I use and enjoy Ryobi's hedge trimmer and it works great for trimming things like azaleas, boxwood, and spirea. I would think a hedge trimmer would also work well with holly bushes. You might consider using hedge trimmers for the small stuff and, if your holly has some stems larger than an inch in diameter, use the pole saw for those…in other words, the best of both worlds. Yes, first time I used it I cut at least that many limbs. It charges just as fast as the other One+ batteries, I got mine without a battery because I have several other One+ tools and I used their batteries. Works good for the price.

From my recent experience last week (Oct 19), I'd say yes. I probably went through 50+ limbs on a single battery. I'm sure they weren't all as big as 3", so if you had a second battery, I'd bring it, just in case.

I have three acres of trees and we cut every limb in sight that was hanging too low and that we could reach. Then we cut up all the large ones for fire wood. I'm not sure if this is 20-30 or not, but would say it is very close if not over. Never thought to count! I was very impressed with how long it ran on one battery.

I think if the species of wood is soft, like popular, not hard like locust, yes- you could do 20-30. The battery takes right at an hour.

Depends on how you order it. One is, one isn't. If you have other One+ tools you don't need a battery, just use the batteries you have, that is what I did. If you don't have other One+ tools make sure you order the one with a battery included.

You can buy it with or without the battery. If you have other Ryobi lithium+ tools and already own batteries you will save money buying it without. It uses the older style batteries as well, but you won't get the life out of them that you will with the lithium+ and they are heavier.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My new favorite tool! My saw was delivered very quickly to my front door. I put it together in about 5 minutes. The next morning, I was in the backyard trimming cypress trees! It is lightweight ( I didn't need the center extension), and easily maneuvered. I thought I would need the extension, but the long reach and my reach did the trick! I really like that most if our Ryobi tools can operate off the same battery. By the way I am a 70 year old female. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice product Used it for a couple hours so far, did all I wanted it to. Built strong, pleasantly surprised by functionality so far. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw Works great battery lasted much longer than I expected June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw Very good pole saw, cut a 6 inch diameter branch without struggling June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done. Having other one+ attachments along with several one+ batteries this was a logical choice. The pole saw works fine for its intended purposes. Great reach with the added extension. More power would be a nice plus but the 18 volt battery gets the job done. Check chain tension often as is the case with chain saws. I used it with the larger one+ battery and was surprised by the length of power. I have not used it with the standard battery and can make no comparison. June 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good piece so far So far seems a good piece. Didn't like having to have it shipped. would rather pickup at store locally. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good saw for the price. Easy to use. This is a great saw and it's super easy to use. The weight that others have talked about was not as big an issue with me. Long life, even with the smallest Ryobi battery. By the time the battery runs out, you're ready for a break. 9.5 feet plus your height makes 12-14' limbs easy pickins. The reason I gave the quality only 2 stars is it leaked oil badly. I actually had to return it. Plan to get another one to give the product a fair shake. Guessing I had a suspect unit. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by a tree trimming wonder It was a simple task to assemble , has really good power , I love the automatic oiler feature , it is a little tip heavy but then again that's because the motor really has some nice power. June 14, 2016
