I am a fan of the Ryobi ONE+ system but this unit failed to deliver! From the moment I got it out of the box and got the unit ready it leaked. Once I was all ready and had the unit primed it never was able to spray out of the gun. I have not tried the roller attachment but if works anything like the sprayer I would just be wasting my time. If there was a way for me to get my money back, I would have done it! Stay as far away from this product as possible, not so much the money as the factor as is thetime you will loose from your life!

I was very hopeful when I ordered this sprayer but was dissapointed when I used it. First of all, when I received it in the mail, the rubber tube that takes that paint to the sprayer was kinked in 2 spots, so I had to go to HD and buy a new tube. I was also planning tgo stain a fence and the spray tip that was for stain only sprays a 1" circle, so I had to order a $20 spray time (after shipping and tax). Even after all this, the prices was still great.
The container was really hard to get paint/stain into, I used a funnel and it still got all over. When I turned it on, stain immediately started leaking all over. I had to put new hose clamps on to get this to stop leaking, some of hte hoses were too small to do that so they just leaked.
The spray pattern was very incosistent, the pressure would randomly stop and just shoot a small stream of stain out. On a fence this didn't matter, but I wouldn't use it on a paint project that needs to look nice. I had to go over most of the fence with a brush to even out the stain. The last thing that was really poorly designed was the way the trigger releases stain into the sprayer. It basically clamps off the little hose, but it doesn't work so stain just runs out if you are not spraying. Also, my ion battery only lasted for 3 8' sections of fence.
I didn't try the roller attachment, but I did look at the design. I would never try this indoors, it looks like it would drip paint all over and if the sprayer is any indication, it would.
Overall, I would much rather just roll the fence or rent a bigger sprayer from the HD.

What a disaster! Conceptually, a great package, but that's as far as it goes. Price is on target and the dual use concept got me really excited. Along with the capacity of the paint chamber coupled with the rate of flow and the back-pack design gave me great expectations, but unit failed in just about every way. Spatters, drips and shut off problems left me wondering why would a great company like Ryobi use it's customer base to do the R & D ? All of these issues should have been resolved in their test dept. BEFORE this ever hit the street. Now, it will take a severe arm-twisting to get me to consider buying another even if the "bugs" get worked out. Sadly, what could have been a terrific solution to painting / staining chores fell victim to rushing to market with too little effort by quality control.

I was excited when I found this product, what a convenience, great value, and a brand I love. I even took the time to read the reviews and since there were only a couple of bad reviews, I thought I would try it anyway. I should have listened a little more and saved myself a miserable day. When the sprayer arrived, the output hose was kinked, and a quick connector was busted. I called Ryobe for replacement parts, but had to wait a few days as they are only available M-F 8-5 PT. They were happy to send replacements, but it did take a week to arrive. Finally I was ready to get started; I had an easy project just paint the trim on the house. Well after all the prep work, I loaded the sprayer, only to find it continues to spray a stream after you release the trigger, I thought I could control it, maybe it would magically correct itself. Well I ended up having to touch up the house where the trim paint streamed onto the rest of the house. I quickly quit using the sprayer and did the hole project by hand in less time than it ended up taking me to clean the dumb thing, and I didnât even get it all the way clean since I figure why bother, Iâm returning it anyway.

Spray gun leaks a stream of paint out of nozzle for about 3 seconds after letting off trigger. Trigger hard to push epecially after prolonged periods of use. Did not even bother using the roller as i will be returning.
