Ok, I'm going to ask again because there have been no useful answers: how is one supposed to remove a one-way screw with these bits? They seem like they'd be fine for driving the screws, but in trying to remove them with this set I'm having about as much success as I would with a Phillips screwdriver.

Hi, Kyle. My name is Lynn from the Ryobi team. If you are not getting the help you need through the question and answers on the Home Depot website, we suggest that you contact us directly at 1-800-525-2579. Keep in mind you have to use a good bit of pressure from removal with these units with your drill.

Thank you for asking, STEVE. Please check with the retail distributor Home Depot, possibly a local stores customer service desk. Home Depot handles all of the aspects of the retail distribution for the line of Ryobi products, which includes pricing, and on-line and in-store level item availability within their distribution system. They are to address all Ryobi product availability and distribution related inquiries. I hope this helps and we appreciate your interest in Ryobi! -Keri

I purchased this set to remove one-way screws on the security door at my home. Unfortunately, the bit just slips off the ridges of the screws when I try to back them out. It is worth mentioning, however, that it appears that it will work great to install them. At the end of the day, I ended up using my Dremel to cut notches in the screws and remove them. One star because this tool doesn't seem to be designed to do what it's advertised to do -- remove one-way screws.

But if, as I believe most buyers are, you want to remove one-ways, don't waste your nine bucks. This WILL NOT remove them. There are a couple of reviewers here on HomeDepot.com that have given this product good reviews, saying they were able to remove with it. I would *really* like to see a video of that, because I don't believe it at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job This did the job once I'd prepped the non-removable screws. First I bought AvantiPro metal cut off disks, 3"diameter, 1/16" thickness. Attached one to the drill and created a deep cross cut in the screw heads so they looked like phillips head screws. This eliminated the gradation which otherwise thwarted removal. Then a shot of WD-40 and a few whacks with a hammer. In one case it took the additional step of hammering a putty knife between the security door and the screw head. Then it was ready for this Ryobi tool. Applying some serious pressure and going easy on the electric drill's throttle spun all three screws right out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great installer, but not remover This tool works great as an installer. As a remover, it fails. In theory, the tool tip should grab into the ramps of the screw and turn it. All it does is slip off. You can help the tool out by filing a flat spot on each ramp, but if you're going to do that you might as well create slots with a hacksaw and file to use a slotted screwdriver as I ended up doing. Again, if you're installing, this tool is great but if you're removing, don't bother.
