Reconditioned Expand-It Edger Trimmer Attachment First off, I did not buy this edger. My neighbor was throwing it out along with the Ryobi RY28100 Power head and curved shaft trimmer attachment, so I picked them up. It works pretty well for average edging, but I also used it to create new edges on several garden beds and it did a great job. The power head was broken on this used one, so I pulled the carb apart. It was clogged so, I cleaned it, put the carb back on, and it fired up on the 5th pull. Now it only takes 4 pulls to start--it was being junked so I can’t complain. Now back on target—LOL—here are the pros and cons on the edger this review is actually about. Pros: *Inexpensive *Strong *Sharp blade Cons: *It vibrates a little much *I’m not a big fan of the curved shaft *The metal guide is a piece of junk, so I might cut it off All in all, 4 out of 5 Thanks for reading!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a good value!! Other than a plain, non-descript box you would never know this was not a brand new item. Half price and performs as new. I will look for this type of product again in the future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to use I am really short 4"10 and I found this so easy to use .. it's a little heavy but once you get the hang of it, it's perfect. Also the job is done ten times quicker .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded my expectations. I ordered this edger after reading all the pros and cons in the reviews. It was delivered quickly and packed very well. I could see a few marks on the housing but I had expected something like that. There was a new blade installed and I checked all the fasteners and they were tight. I read the included instructions and set the depth, then attached it to my Toro gas trimmer. This is my first expand it attachment and it is too easy to use. I followed advice I had read in some of the reviews about backing over the tough areas and had no problems. I recommend this to anyone needing a moderate usage edger.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful I think this is one of the worse tools I have every purchased. The design is faulty in that it has a skeg that suppose to follow the grove made by the blade. The problem is that if you have thick grass, a grove is not cut, then the little skeg hangs up. It causes the whole thing to shake and wobble then stick. The engine rpm, according to the instructions, has to be wide open! That little sucker is screaming, vibrating and jumping all over the place as you are pushing hard trying to make it go forward. The tool was fine as far as a reconditioned item, but I had to return it and the power head. It was worthless to me.
