Do you happen to know when this item will be back in stock?

Thank you, EJ. We do not have access to Home Depot's inventory. However, there is a similar model for a pole saw RYPRN33 available now.

HOW IS ONE OF THESE POWERED?

DOES IT OPERATE ON GAS, OR BATTERY, OR WHAT?
Asked by: 1A2B34F
Thank you, 1A2B34F. This unit could attach to a battery operated power head as well as a gasoline operated power head. If you choose to use a battery operated power head, you can attach this unit to a 40 volt RY40225. However, if you decide to use a gasoline powered power head, there are two. The first would be a 2-cycle (RY251PH) and the second would be a 4-cycle (RY34007). Any of these would work, I hope this helps.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No So Good when using Extension Shaft It was nice be able to purchase a reconditioned unit for half the price of the new unit, but it seems I got only half the functionality as well. There's just too much play in the flexible drive inside the extension shaft. Without load the chain spins just fine, but moments after the chain touches wood the chain stops cold, even though the engine is still revving. If I disassemble and reassemble the extension shaft the chain will spin again, at least until I try to make it actually cut something. Without the extension shaft the pruner is very powerful and does a fine job of cutting anything I've tried it on. It's nice to be able to reach a short distance overhead, but another few feet would have been much better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy a better model The automatic oilier was a nice feature and the weight allowed for cutting with gravity. Could not get it to operate with extension and could not prevent it from rotating when in use. It would cut well when unit did not rotate. Possibly the vibration was compounded by the weight imbalance and made constant use a challenge.Found it was aggravating to use due to this design flaw. Inability to use it with the extension (that was my main reason for buying it) was the most frustrating. The flexible shaft would simply not engage with the extension. Definitely needs a better more reliable design.
