PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # ZRP2002

Internet # 202498301

The first of it's kind, Ryobi brings you the Lithium-Ion cordless lawn and garden line. With longer run time, fade-free power, and a Li-ion battery that works with all One+ tools (battery sold and charger sold separately), this is also the most eco-friendly option for your lawn care needs- while Nickle-Cadmium batteries contain potentially harmful components, the 18-Volt Lithium-Ion does not. And best of all they'll work with any One+ tool you already own. If you want performance, Versatility and Easy Operation, the One + system has it all. The 18-Volt Lithium-Ion string trimmer is lightweight and versatile. With a 12 in. cutting swath and a telescoping, rotating handle, you can adjust the height of trimmer and flip it over to convert to an edger.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 251 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great 18-volt Trimmer that's simple and easy to use! Really like the multi-purpose Ryobi 18-volt battery pack concept and have two batteries that power my Ryobi drill, hammer-drill, saw, light, saber-saw and now my refurbished Ryobi Trimmer. The Ryobi charger works super and keeps the batteries charged up and does this very quickly. The trimmer is just what we need to trim around all the small difficult areas of our yard. I like that the Ryobi trimmer extends the cutting line automatically and that the two handles can be positioned to fit my left handed grip as well as my 6' height. A good design well engineered and built, like all the other Ryobi tools I own. There is not a week that goes by that I don't use some of these tools all without a cord; the best part!. June 4, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do NOT buy reconditioned equipment from Home Depot If you read the fine print, reconditioned stuff is NOT returnable. Mine came broken. I don't mean didn't work quite right, but broken into pieces. It never even left the store. Homedepot.com gave us (me and the store staff trying to help me) a real hard time and refused to refund. If it weren't for the local staff going way above and beyond, I would have gotten stuck with a broken trimmer. Don't buy reconditioned and make sure you read the fine print about returns. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by "Reconditioned" really means used and broken Just want to explain first that the new version of this product is great and I've generally had good luck with all of the Ryobi One product line. But for this particular product, the trimmer came in the box looking like someone just used it, dirty, with no wire left and worst of all, the plastic shield was broken. It was only $10 cheaper than a brand new one, so there is really no reason not to just buy a new one (which is what I ended up doing). And it sounds like from the other reviews that other people have had a similar experiences. June 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Refurb department needs an overhaul The trimmer is the same as what you'd get if you bought new. What I wasn't expecting is a trimmer that had been poorly wiped down with a paper towel and thrown in a box. The trimmer spool was 1/2 used and they didn't even both to try and make it look better by cutting off the 6" at the end that still had chunks of grass embedded in it. I have refurbished stereos, refurbished computers, heck I have a used car. Refurbished should mean a used but brought back as close to new and then resold with a lesser warranty. Not wipe it down and resell it. I will be exchanging this tomorrow morning when my local depot opens. Most likely picking up the Ryobi 40v which, after reading the reviews is a much more complete purchase. April 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Refurbished Wonder. My husband says this little weed eater is excellent. Light weight and easy to use. Trims down the edging of tall grass just fine. I love this Ryobi ONE tool set. So far we have the drill, circular saw and weed eater. We use the Lithium batteries. Our Ni-Cad batteries have gone bad and need to be recycled. May 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basic trimmer for smaller yards/jobs This Weeder/Trimmer, when used with the available NiMH battery lasts long enough for me to edge and trim a 6,000 SF area without running out of charge. What I like especially is that the power doesn't slowly decrease, but stays as powerful as when you start until it is drained. Then, it stops abruptly, but one hour of charging and you're trimming again. I do not like it that in order to replace a line feeder head, I had to replace the entire unit! The feeder hole on the head began cutting the line almost as soon as I began trimming and there is no replacement part. I was forced to spend $40 to replace a part that should have been available for around $10. July 31, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Refurbished? really? I am used to getting a refurbished product that looks new, so was surprised that it looks more like a half hearted effort to remove the dirt left by the last owner. It works though, and is a good product so that's a plus. April 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product a big disappointment! I was very excited to finally have a cordless grass trimmer. When the product arrived it was obvious that it was not packaged very well. After opening the box, I found a weed trimmer that was broken into various pieces. Since the product I ordered was a reconditioned item I expected some flaws, but not a completely useless item. Luckily Home Depot refunded my money without any hassle! This is why I shop at Home Depot and will continue to shop at Home Depot. June 23, 2015
