How to charge it

Asked by: mason
insert battery in charger. The end cap (greyish white) is screwed on. Remove that to remove the battery, very compact.

Hi, hers. You will look for the drill bits with the hex shank 1/4 inch. Here is an example of a drill set at the link below:

Reconditioned TEK4 Lithium-Ion Screwdriver is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOT for carpentry. For hobbies and machine screws This thing gets such a bad rep because the people who buys them for purpose they are not design for. Use this for hobbies and machine screws (office equipment technician) and its best unit for money. (compare to milwaukee m4)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another outstanding Ryobi tool I have had two of these since being introduced to the market. I used the first one almost 2 years before it was permanently "borrowed", the second is still going strong. This is one tool I did NOT recommend to friends as the tool spoke for itself. Six of my workmates bought these when they saw me using it on the job. There are untold dozens of screws to remove/install on CT and other bits of medical gear. This is the PERFECT tool for the job. Gentle enough for small metric machine screws, yet brawny enough to drive the occasional deck screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this tool, extremely handy... I needed a lightweight, dependable, screw-gun for use around the house. My neighbor came over with his and I bought my own the next day. I've used it consistently for over two years assembling or repairing furniture, electronics, and installing lock-sets, hinges etc. Performs admirably and am still using the original battery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Screwdriver period If you are looking for a product that is versatile and can perform many tasks fast this is not the product for you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this product if you need a power screwdriver that is not lightning quick. It is just to slow for my needs

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT LITTLE TOOL Small and lite, yet powerful for it's size and voltage. When I saw it had 2 speeds and a replaceable battery, I had to have one, so I bought two. I like the bit chuck the best, it holds short bits firmly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ryobi failure I was impressed with the look and feel of this tool so I purchased it and an extra battery along with a 2 year warranty, After less than an hour removing small screws from the dashboard of my truck the insides twisted in the housing and stopped working , took it back to Home Depot for warranty repair. Had to pay $21.50 for an inspection to see if it's a warranted repair , they had it about a month and returned it to me and refunded the money. Before it fully removed another screw it was broken again so back to Home Depot and another $21.50 and now they want me to buy another tool. Not sure yet why they sell warranty services with the products they offer if there not going to warranty it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for lightweight everyday jobs. This drill is not a powerhouse and anybody foolish enough to think they can drive deck screws for hours will be disappointed. It is however, perfect for switch plates, lightweight household jobs, assembling things that come in parts, drilling small diameter holes in wood, plaster, aluminum as well as for driving tediously long machine screws up to the point where some serious effort is required. That being said, it does have more torque that you'd initially expect. I found the clutch to work very well and on the lowest setting has not broken a switch plate yet. At the highest setting it drives screws and bores small to medium screws admirably. The case it comes with has room for one of these cheap "do everything" bit and drill kits, some vix bits, a small countersink kit, an extra battery/charger and a hex to normal chuck adapter for handling drills do not have a hex shaft. I would not use it with auger bits nor spade/twist drill bits larger than 1/4" except perhaps is soft materials such as gypsum board. The LED light is adequate but more would be better. How much do I like it? I have three of them and have used them for years. Not one has given me a lick of trouble. I hope the never discontinue it. I'll be buying another tomorrow because I'm going to leave one in the house and the garage rather than running back and forth or fighting my wife for it. Not being a contractor I don't use drills every day. This means when I do need a tool the battery is usually depleted. Having learned this years ago ALL of my electric tools are 120 volts with this as the only exception. My affection for AC power tools has brought the small inconvenience of dragging an extension cord about but I never have to deal with dead batteries, waiting for batteries to charge of for paying the large expense of multiple batteries. Additionally, all of my tools have more power for the price than the battery equivalents. There is no ongoing expense of replacing expensive batteries but I usually do have to replace inexpensive brushes once a decade. There is one place though, where I thought I really needed a battery drill because I had no choice. For certain jobs I like having a drill with more power AND a clutch. (First part was easy; second part hard in a corded tool) After searching the market high and low I was about to give up when I discovered the Ryobi D48CK which, to the best of my knowledge, is THE ONLY corded drill with a clutch. The Ryobi D48CK and the Tek 4 share a case. They are an unbeatable combo for everyday stuff. I have six other drills I use for specialty stuff including the 3/8" one speed, non-reversible, three wire, metal housing, Craftman I got in 1961 which is on it's fifth set of brushes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keep looking, no variable speed This drill is not variable speed. In my opinion, this missing feature makes this driver useless. I have the entire one+ set for larger work, but would like to be able to use this driver for smaller work. Without a variable speed trigger switch, you have very little control in driving with this tool. I've owned it for a few years now, and haven't used it once.
