Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Corwinicus Thank you ryobi, finally someone has produced a fairly priced product that is masonry on one end and impact ready on the other
at 2400-3200 rpms an impact driver will pierce mortar and most stone more effectively and effeciently than my drill drivers or hammer drill drivers do, because of this product i can now anchor my screw clips, splitters, ground blocks etc. (cable technician) far more effeciently than ever before..
thank you ryobi, your the only company doing this other than some really cheap stuff at harbor frieght that would not have put up with the abuse i put my bits through. Everytime i burn em out, i come back to home depot and buy more.

Was a great price for three drill bits. They were tough and did the job where others failed

I volunteered to install a gate in a fence for my daughter. I had to drill holes in brick to make the connection. I spent a long time with my current drill bit, but didn't make much progress. This new drill bit quickly drilled the 4 holes that I needed. My old drill bit went immediately in the trash.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CarterB Poor quality. The weld of the carbide tip melted.
Stay away from these bits unless you only need to drill a few holes. I had made 8 holes with the 5/32" bit using an impact driver into typical red brick and mortar before the weld of the carbide tip melted and the tip fell off. The weld needs to be able to withstand the heat generated by drilling through a hard substance.

The tip of the bits. burned up right away! I couldn't even penetrate the surface. I thought for the price I paid this product would have been sufficient enough for the small little job of installing the two little screws to secure the dishwasher under the countertop, I found out I was wrong. Roto Zip has a similar product that works really well. All my cordless tools are Ryobi and I am very please with them

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by splash poor quality; not worth a penny if it breaks on first use
The bit I really needed from the pack broke on the first use. The mason tip came off in the hole I was trying to drill in a standard brick wall. Nothing special about the wall, just a really poor bit. At any price it is a waste of money if one does not get to use it for a single intended project.

I use these bits with my impact driver to drill into cement block walls. I haven't had any problems.
