Tek4 Professional Digital Multi-Meter is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Meter: the TEK4 RP4020 I've owned my RP4020 for more than a year and I don't regret the purchase for a moment. I like the big, bright display, the rechargeable TEK4 battery design, the hook in the back. The meter works well, too. My only complaint (and a minor one): the battery compartment attaches with two tiny philips head screws. Why not use a screwcap design like most of the other TEK4 tools?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multimeter Once I got this charged up. I was able to use it right away, for some Christmas lights that weren't working, found the problem in a short time. I also was able to use it for checking batteries in some decorations, it saved a lot of time. I would definitely recommend it . It is smaller than previous meters that I've had in the past, but worked just as well. It came with a portable power unit, to charge up Cel phones, but didn't fit any of mine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK, but don't blow the fuse There were two things I didn't like about this multimeter: 1) The continuity test beep is much too soft and hard to hear. 2) The mA measurement port is the same as the voltage one. Somehow the 400mA fuse got blown and the meter will no longer measure mA. Homedepot doesn't carry the fuse and attempting to buy it through the Ryobi website cost $25 + $15 for shipping! On a $60 meter this is ridiculous. Wish I had just bought a fluke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice meter for money. My field of work is engineering, and I have used many meters over the last 40 years, from Simpson 260s to HP3440s, numerous other meters. I own several Fluke DVMs that are fine meters. I bought RP4020 for a general use meter that I could keep in the garage. It's a real bargain, when you check the features for the money. It seems to have a rugged case design, Large display that is well back lit and easy to read. The TEK4 Lithium battery packs are also a nice feature. It has a handy pop-out hanger clip at the top back to hang the meter with while using it. (My Fluke 87 and 289 meters don't have this feature). The battery cover has an "O" ring seal to keep out moisture and the rubber covered case provides drop protection and a good gripping surface. It dose not read "True RMS" in the AC mode, but few meters in the price range do. The test leads that come with it are as well made as my Fluke or Pomona leads. The accuracy stated in the manual is typical for a 3.x digit DVM. Overall this is a fine tool for the money, again Ryobi provides a lot of bang for the buck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost 5 stars! PROS: Heavy Duty (shock, rain and dirt resistant), large display, backlight, measures capacitance (i needed that), very well made, battery last forever. CONS: the continuity beep is too low, I wish there was a volume, or just build it louder. You have to stick you ear close to the multimeter to hear it if you have noise around. Maybe I'm a little deaf. Measuring Volts and Amps, the numbers does not stay in Zero while disconnected, they keep jumping. It would give you a good reading once you measure, and after you disconnect, they start jumping again. I would definitely recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome site I recently lost my multimeter to a fluke electrical overload. I work on all types of motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, and 4 -wheelers. I use my meter everyday. I found the meter on your site instantly, and headed to my local Home Depot store in Batavia, NY. I was able to finish a "hot" job for a customer, and deliver his wheeler that day. I am very satisfied with the Home Depot site, the help I received in the store, and the product I purchased! Thanks a ton

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home Depot & Ryobi to the Rescue! This is another is the long line of Ryobi Tek 4 tools that solve many of the builder-remodlers electrical problems.....this is a professional mulit-meter, and as with other Tek 4 tools Ryobi has done their homework......it's just about as effecient a meter as you could ever need, and priced right to boot! I recommend this line of tools to everybody I know, and the batteries interchange which make my work so much easier! Buy the entire set, you won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good basic meter I am a hobbiest not a professional. I own a fluke and some other cheaper multimeters and I am always reaching for this one. It is very easy to read with large numbers on the display and a nice bright backlight. Leads are robust and as good as my Fluke. It is easy to setup. I also like that it has both a flip out stand and a flip out hook. I work on my airplane frequently and it is my favorite meter for that since I can hang it or stand it up while I am under the instrument panel and I can see the bright, large display easily when I am in difficult/tight quarters. I just went out and bought several more because I have different workshops and they were on a hot sale at the local home depot for 45 dollars each. I can now give away the other meters I have since these Ryobi's are now where I need them. If you need an inexpensive multimeter that is very easy to use...you can't go wrong.
