CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NON-WALKER The 135-degree split point, which allows them to drill on contact and prevents walking is the most noticeable feature on the these bits. Second would be the 3 flat shank on the large bits for a firm hold of the bit in the chuck. Now I've have not used each and every one of these bits, but to check these futures out we pulled out our 18v Ryobi Drill, chucked up the biggest bit and let it rip into a 1/4 piece of metal. The result was no disappointment, from the first pull of the trigger we were drilling and in the place we put the bit. Anyone who has ever drilled metal knows, first you center Punch, drill a smaller pilot hole, sometimes twice, stepping up in size till you get to your bit for the final hole size. This all because the bigger the bit, the longer the walk. Now with 29 bits to use, stepping up in size by 1/16th increment's you have a well rounded set and being Titanium Coated I hoping for years of use. I have many sets, for difference use's, we don't waste a metal bit on drilling soft wood, as we don't do the reverse you only ware down the bit unneeded, so we plan on years. One other thing is the speed, I've seen it repeatedly, they chuck-up, set it in place and let it rip as fast as the drill will run. Faster is not better, in-fact, the slower the better, depending on the material as you want the bit to bite at a speed to keeps it drilling. It does not take long for the heat to build and that will ware down the sharpness' 3X faster and you have a one use bit as a result. If you ever took shop in school and remember the old drill press with it's pulleys you change the belt on for the set speed, well you have it, a set speeds for the material you are drilling for long life of the bit and the best cutting into the material. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by better than i thought I bought these around Christmas and used a couple last night and was surprised at how good they worked . I was drilling in hard steel and drilled with no problems. April 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Get value for what I paid Got this as a Black Friday special. Seems like a nice set. It was a great value for what I paid. I bought a black oxide kit that was the same brand and ended up paying $10 more about a month before the Black Friday special. That black oxide drill kit has held up pretty well, so I'm sure this titanium should hold up just as good. January 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Value i have never used Ryobi drill bits before, as I use bits everyday and felt they were not professional grade. I purchased this set on a special price and thought for the money it would be a good disposable set. However I have found they perform as good as if not better than the more expensive sets I have in my box. I liked them so much I went back to the local store and purchased 4 more sets January 6, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nice set of drills This is a nice starter set of drill bits. A somewhat small number of drills, but for the average DIY person, this can get you started. Generally you will probably break the smaller ones before they wear out or get dull, but I guess that is just the way it is. The set gets you up to most normal drilling situations. The 135 degree bits work nicely in most metals, of course you may need to do a starter punch, and perhaps even work up in size, but they walk through soft metals with ease. Just don't drill too fast, or the overheating will ruin the tip. February 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price, well worth the money Drill bits are in a box to keep them in order and they cut very fast (sharp). Good buy for the money. January 15, 2015
