Not sure what Ryobi had in mind because the blades are dull and not sharp. I am going to sharpen the cutting edges and ends and see how it works then.

If you want to make progress, get a 7 5/8 circular saw blade and on over size washer for a spacer and use that instead. Got this to cut a line for an invisible fence and it was worthless, used the ripping saw from my ryobi handheld circular saw and it cut the ground like butter. I got 5 Irwin blades from Lowe's for half of this cutter and they worked perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great This thing can cut small trees no problem. Only complaint is that it needs a bushing to make it fit weedwacker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best lil blade ever!! This blade gets the job DONE!!! It slits those lil weed trees to their knees quickly!! I love it!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works poorly This product is poorly designed. The thickness of each wing of the Tri-winged design means you are cutting with a tiny little corner of each blade since the follow through of the squared of thick part of the blade pushes back against the cut. Also the wings are squared off rather than rounded which excarbates above mentioned problem. It does not have a sharpens edge on it anywhere, how is it supposed to cut?????? Very soft steel 5-10 min of cutting pinky sized and smaller willow shoots wore the blade down significant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best for canes, and kudzu and wisteria Works very well with this tip! With blade low to the ground, sweep left to right s far in as you can go. Now sweep up and down as you move your body from right to left. Be safe, Never go higher than your shoulders with the blade.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expensive, but durable. the packaging is over-the-top, the blade itself is durable, If edges of blade were sharpened, this tool would work better on brush. As it is now, it only is average for value.
