Cleared an acre of pasture with moderate heavy brush with ease. Tri-arc blade is dull and not sharp out of the box but that does not impede its ability to cut thick grasses cleanly with a knife edge. Seems to develop an edge as it wears. Got half an acre out of each side of the blade. Very impressed!

Excellent on a replacement part is hard to obtain when assembly it is for is 'good,' right? So this is a Good part for a Good assembly. I do not know how many engine hours they last, but I have worn a couple down - some of the brush I cut is so harsh it eventually eats any tool.
I do not understand the comment about needing to sharpen the blade before use as the blade is self sharpening. Bolt it on and take it for a spin (pun intended). It will be sharp in no time.

the only bad thing is having to sharpen the blade before being able to use it.....kind of a hassle....would be better if it was just ready to go from the package.....

I have to say that when I purchased this blade I wasn't sure if it was going to do the job. I had brush and weeds growing 3 to 4 feet high and my poor dog was getting lost in the brush. I attached the blade to my Ryobi BC30 Weedwacker and went to town on the weeds and brush in my yard. I have a 15'by 60' area that was covered with thick brush and weeds and this blade cut through all of it in no time. I was very impressed with the durability of the blade. I would highly recommend this blade if you have stubborn hard to cut brush.

We love our Ryobi brush cutter and were so glad we could by the replacement blade from Home Depot on line. The blade easily cuts through good sized brush and lasts a long time.
