Answer:
Thanks for your question. 1 lb. of cement color can be used for each 80 lb. bag. Each 80 lb. bag of concrete yields .6 cu ft. Given this you will need 45 80 lb. bags of concrete and 45 1 lb. cement colors for your project.

Answer:
That would actually be too much pigment. A 1 lb pack would be added to a 40 lb container and that would be the most that we would recommend. If you have a scale to measure it out then you could use half a pound for the 20 Flo-Coat.

Is this a pure iron oxide, or it has other additives?
Do they specify particle size on the package (it is usually in either mesh# or microns) ?
Thank you.

Yes, it will stain the flagstones. This is an iron oxide pigment and needs to be used in a cement mix.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use. I can't find the color of grout I need, so I use this cement color to mix with the grout. It s easy to use, but it's not easy to clean. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use. Fairly economical option for small projects. 1 box gives you about 2 cups of color to work with. The instructions recommend 1 box per 80 lbs of concrete as a starting point for adding color. I used 1/4 cup with a 25 lb mix and it yielded a brick reddish color. Using less will give you a lighter color and stretch the product further. Adding more cement color may give you a darker shade, but another option to try would be mixing the red with the black or charcoal powder cement color in solution and add that to your cement mix. I would recommend a test project making smaller blocks or even garden stepping stones with varying amounts of the cement color (but exact same concrete mix you'll be using for your final project) to determine what shade you like. From there it would be easy to determine how much color you'll need for the final project. I used an outdoor acrylic sealer for a garden step stone, and a non-toxic sealer (rhymes with Bee wax) for a concrete bowl I made to be used indoors. I don't know if that's necessary. I just wanted a little gloss and added protection for the pieces I made. Fun to experiment, and I still have a lot left. This is very fine powdery stuff and there is a small amount on the inside and outside of packaging so I used mask and gloves. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Produced a beautiful color for my concrete counter top I used this product to color my concrete counter top. My counter top was 5' x 3'. I only colored enough material to pack the first 1" of the counter top (pouring it upside down). Then I filled the back with uncolored, regular Portland gray concrete. That saved me some money and time. I put 2 boxes in one bag of Quikrete Maximizer to get the color I wanted. I turned out really nice. My wife loves it. December 19, 2014
