Rated 1 out of 5 by 10" x 48" CONCRETE FORM TUBE Not real happy with this purchase. I wanted 10" dia tubes and find out that the 10" means nominal size and they vary from 10" to 9 3/8 " in diameter. Also unlike " REAL " Sono tubes you can't allow these tubes to get wet. It rained for a week after my purchase and so my project was delayed. October 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great These form tubes do just what they are ment to do! October 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terribly frustrating to level post bases in these tubes When installing a heavy duty Simpson column base, like CB 44, these tubes don't work well at all. In fact, they're awful. The cardboard edge of the top of the tube becomes mushy, and the weight of the post base (sitting on a piece of 1/2" plywood that spans the top of the tube), causes the edge of the tube to start collapsing. That makes it terribly difficult to level the post base in two directions. My advice is to build your own square form out of scrap 3/4" plywood , grease the inside of it, and pour your piers this way. The plywood will NOT collapse on you, and you will be able to level your post bases. June 4, 2014
