Answer:
Yes, it might take a couple applications because of the depth but it will work and is so easy! The hole I used it for was about 2 inches deep with one application.

Answer:
The Fast Setting Cement Patcher can be placed from 1/4" to 2" in thickness. You can do multiple layers of the material as long as the first layer is firm. All layers have to be in place within 24 hours. It takes around 15-20 minutes for the material to get hard.

Answer:
It depends on what you want your finish look to be. If you are going to cover it again with tile, carpet, hardwood, etc. then you would want to use the Sakrete Trowel Grade Leveler. If you are going to leave it with a concrete finish then you can use the Sakrete Fast Setting Cement Patcher which can be placed 1/4" up to 2" in thickness.

Answer:
I used an acrylic bonding agent in the same area where I was using the concrete patch and I did not like the way the acrylic looked. It looked like glue next to the concrete patch and the color is a different shade of gray than the concrete patch. It's a light shade of gray. If you're picky about uniformity, stick with the concrete patch.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Use I had a hole in my patio cement that either I or my dogs kept tripping over. Well, it is no more. The pail of patch comes ready to mix with a little water (like a putty). You apply it with a trowel and it is ready to walk on in 4 hours. What could be easier? I took a picture to show the hole before patching but it did not show up so there are only pictures of the hole filled and still wet. I have also included a picture of the directions on the can in case you need more info. June 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quick, easy fix on any cement works This 20 LB fast set patcher by SAKRETE was so easy to use that you simply cannot find excuses not to fix up any cracks and holes in your previous cement works. First make sure that you have rinsed and clean up any debris that's in the cracks to ensure a complete bonding. Simply by adding water to the compound and stir evenly and set for a couple of minutes and you are ready to go. I even tried it on a couple of spot on my brick wall and it seems to work well, too. Even though the manufacturer suggest a 24hr curing period but I think within 3 hours all the less than 1/2" cracks that i patched were well hardened. Great product. June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy mix This is a very easy product to prepare and to apply. As recommended by the manufacturer, I wore a respirator as whenever you move the powder, it creates a very fine smoke of dust. There are useful step-by-step videos on how to prepare and use the product on Sakrete's website. The mix is very user friendly, no need to add sand, just a bit of water. Just by stirring a couple of times and I had a workable mix. Applying the patcher is straightforward, simply using an old scrapper. It dries quickly as well (can be walked on 4 hours and fully set in 24 hours). It was my first experiment with cement, a product which I originally thought of being intimidating, and was pleasantly surprised by how uncomplicated the whole process is. December 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 20 lb. Fast Set Patcher all I can say is it is a excellent product and would use it again August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well for my purposes I admit that I didn't use this to repair a concrete slab, which is what it is designed to do. Rather, I used it to 'patch' the cement between bricks on a step. The bricks began separating again after being 'repaired' by a professional contractor just last summer. So rather than hiring someone to fix the fix, I decided to try this approach. It was easy to place and form the patcher and it set quite quickly. I looks much better and appears to have 'patched' the step. Only time will tell if this approach will solve the problem long-term. Clean up of tools was easy with water and rags. April 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Patcher I needed to repair several places around my house where the concrete had cracked and fallen out. Since I just finished remodeling everything on the exterior above the ground I thought it was time to take care of them. The label didn't say you could use it on a vertical surface but I thought I would try anyway. I had 3 spots where the foundation had cracked and fallen out under the brick at corners. I mixed it and let it set a little while to stiffen and it applied beautifully and stayed. I followed all the directions including covering it with plastic for 24 hours so it would stay wet longer by taping the plastic to the brick and the concrete. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. I now still have a few places on my driveway to do and since it worked on the vertical surfaces I'm sure it will work fine on flat surfaces. April 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sakrete Fast Set Concrete Patch Easy to use. Even if you've never done concrete patching before you'll be able to use this product. Never lumpy and dries fast. March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Small Job Patch The first thing I like about this product is that it comes in a plastic pale, how many times have you bought a 40lb. bag , used 10lbs. folded over the top stuck in the corner only to find the next time you go to use it , it absorbed enough moisture that it got hard. Having a small job in mind before I ordered this, the day it came I was able to use right away. I use an old 5 gallon bucket that is cut in half, I wear a throw away dust mask, put a little water in first add some powder, mix. At this point you can decide if you need more water and powder to complete the job. A couple different types of trowels are nice but if you don't have a trowel and the job is small wear disposable gloves and use your hands to form or even a small piece of old wood, or a spatula, you get the idea. First timers go the Sakrete web site and watch some the how to videos to get some ideas for your particular type of job. Experienced DIY people will love this stuff. February 22, 2016
