Customer Questions & Answers

How many cubic feet does a 60 pound bag contain?

If we knew that, we could all figure out our requirements.
Asked by: Mike
The Installation Guide says: "Divide the cubic foot volume of the area to be filled by 0.6 ft cubed (0.016 m cubed). This will give the number of bags needed. For example 4 ft long x 3 ft wide x 3 inches deep = 3 ft cubed, divided by 0.06 ft cubed gives the number of bags needed in this example." A 4 inch depth for a 4 ft x 3 ft area would require about 8 bags. The IG also gives the recommendation for mounting 4"x 4" post holes. You will have to do the math for your specific numbers.

It settles pretty easily and provides drainage. They also dont look too bad, so I used them for landscaping around my shed ramp where the footings are.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected. I used this gravel as a base for red scalloped edging. Some of the gravel is showing and is actually a beautiful mix. Too pretty to just be used under something. I placed them strategically in other awkward places to stop mulch from escaping a v shaped down slope. The colors and shape of the rocks look nice. They lock together and tuck in corners and turns. It looks good.
