Behind the apron front is there a slit to slide over the existing counter lip or is this one solid piece?

Asked by: jenn
There is but depending on what kind of sink you are replacing the odds are you will need a new counter. We found this sink didn't go back as far as the existing sink even though the size is the same. It sits more forward. It is a great sink though and worth getting a new countertop for.

How do I clean it? Comet, copper cleaner?

Asked by: Sherrys
This is how you would clean this sink Below is a brief, but important, list of Do’s and Do Not’s: + DO - Wash daily with mild soap and water and a soft cloth or sponge. + DO - Dry occasionally with a soft cloth to mini¬mize water spots. — DO NOT use strong abrasive cleaners, metal scrub pads, or steel wool. These will scratch the surface. — DO NOT leave rubber mats or sponges inside the sink. Water trapped below could lead to stains. — DO NOT let food, dishes, toothpaste or pots and pans sit inside the copper sink for prolonged periods of time. — DO NOT allow chlorine bleach in contact with your Copper sink. It will remove the patina and drastically alter the finish of your sink. — DO NOT allow drain cleaners to come into contact with the sink surface.

It make a remarkable difference in the way our farmhouse kitchen looked. Every time someone comes in, people notice the copper farmhouse sink and ask where we purchased it. We have had it in about 2 months now and am really enjoying the amazing country look that we wanted in our kitchen. It far exceeded our expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I remodeled my kitchen around this sink! My house has a rustic design so I knew I wanted to use a copper farmhouse sink in the kitchen remodel. Read, researched and looked at many and found this excellent sink at Home Depot. As others have stated, a little unsure about the quality because of the low price, but it has far exceeded my expectations. It is the centerpiece of the kitchen and is everyone's favorite part of our remodel. If you fully understand that this sink's patina will continue to change, just as a copper penny does, then you will not be disappointed. It is stunning!! I do think that the recommended sink drain is a bit on the bright side for this sink, but I kept it anyway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks beautiful- more maintenance than i planned I love the sink, love the look, everyone (including all the contractors) LOVE the sink- unanticipated focal point and couldn't get more compliments on it. But, ANYTHING left in the sink will result in shiny spots, I hear that they fade, and I would feel better if there were more to make them look more deliberate instead of me messing up (spinach blended in too well!). I have heard that comet or soft scrub followed by vinegar or baby oil will work to restore finish- but am apprehensive to try it. also, do not miss the 2 sink sides at all- love the big open sink basin. even with the extra upkeep- I would not do anything differently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sink We get nothing but compliments on our copper sink. After daily use the inside of the sink gets some water marks may get a little green but washes right away, the color of the copper does seem to change in spots some lighter spots some darker but obviously they all go together well. I have no issue with this color change it brings it character in my opinion, would definitely recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from will buy this sink again if we move! Sink definitely threw our contractor for a look when cutting countertop and building cabinet, but just like the rest of his work, it turned out perfectly! Love the look of this sink. CONS: cant leave anything metal on it overnight wet. It turns it "copper" colored again, super annoying. But it only takes a time or two to learn that mistake. It ages after about a week to look like the rest. Even with that con its still the perfect focal point in my kitchen and I love it. THINK FIRST if you have stainless appliances, we ended up getting a custom cabinet front dishwasher so it looked good- looked terrible next to our stainless dishwasher And buy the stopper from HD. It matches perfectly. ($30)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A real nightmare! I would definitely not recommend this sink to anyone . It has been a nightmare for me. I installed it 2 weeks ago and alreafy have permanent stains everywhere just by washing my dishes. I did not use any chemicals other than the copper polish recommended by Home Depot. I am on my way to buy a sink grid for 65 dollars to cover up the ugliness of the sink.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty but turns ugly I bought this sink two weeks ago and the antique color on the inside has turned ugly blotchy colors. Sinkology will not respond to my messages regarding this issue. I have been trying to keep it as dry as possible to keep the antique look from turning to bright blotchy copper. Not very happy with the price paid.

This sink is beautiful, but when we went to install it we realized that one side of the apron front was an inch deeper than the other side. This caused issues.l took it back to the Home Depot and they returned it and ordered me another, but now the sink is $150 more & I was stuck having to pay. Bad CS.
