Rated 3 out of 5 $pendy Heat
I picked this up at my local store yesterday. I wanted a "supplemental" heater for my small space. I installed the 2 plastic feet and immediately attached the Smal to my Kill-A-Watt meter to find out how much I would be paying. To maintain 69-71 degrees at $0.09 per KwH (roughly average), I would be spending approx. $84 per month. I own another convection heater that I use on an inside wall in my bedroom and the monthly cost for that is roughly $25. I will definitely be returning the Smal!

Rated 2 out of 5Â by j2043 smal convection--liked but failed
I liked the portability and the cool to touch on sides to move it. The adjustability of heat and lenght of time on was a plus. All was well until it just plain stopped working. i did the usual diff. plugs, tipped it to make sure that some internal sensor wasn't stuck--all to no avail. I looked through manual and it stated to not return to retailer. Of course the direction also said to contact customer service. I must be blind but I could not find that location in the manual. I have an oil filled radiator i use at camp for supplimentary heal that is abot 15 years old--think that might be the route to go for replacement. I should include that SMAL is used for a couple months sporadically in Spring and Fall--2 years.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Danika So Far so Good
I bought this heater for a small to medium area where my children sleep. So far so good...It has warmed up to 70 degrees which is where I set it for...it shut off and it is functioning ok. We will see in a couple of weeks...I am always cold (sleep with 5 covers type of person) and so far I feel comfortable....

Rated 5 out of 5Â by motherofonyx smalco large profile baseboard heater so far works great!!
Here I am again trying to replace my nifty heater that quit, so I am trying the baseboard heater which is new to Home Depot? looked up online and it is ul listed and has all the bells and whistles for safety, my number one concern. It heats the entire two rooms, is not a quick heat, is a steady heat, stays at temp set while using my hair dryer and another heater plus this one? had to go outside and reset the circuit breaker? this is a small old house so actually it did what it was suppose to do and no I am no longer using the hair dryer. Is my first time using a baseboard, had investigated it and it is suggested for use in larger rooms and for persons that the fans and other heating elements just might cause allergy issues, I can tell you that the difference in my breathing and allergys from always running the fan is incredible on the plus side, wake up without issues after leaving this one on all night, it stays cool to the touch, my only concern is this old house has very little room, few outlets?? so this takes up a wall? and must scoot towards the wall since my dog thinks he owns the house, is ok feel safe with this heater and curious children that might think they might just want to play with it. New brand? located on an online auction? think the warranty should be longer? think the retail would make more sense with a longer warranty, I however purchased a replacement warranty since I am now not very confident about buying this type of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by sstgl Quick heat, easy to maintain temperature
We like the clean lines of this heater, and the fact that it can operate as a floor or wall unit. It is also very easy to use the time and temperature settings, and it clearly displays the current room temperature. The downside is that the temperature settings are in 5-degree increments - 65, 70, 75, and 80, so sometimes we room gets a little warmer or cooler than desired and we manually change the setting to the next temperature. All in all, though, a great product, and a good value for the money.
