Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by chipolaris Works fine, looks OK, but a tad pricy
Installation is piece of cake: measure and drill 3 holes then attach the unit to the wall with the included screws as the instructions say. Programming the unit takes less than a minute.
It just my personal taste but it does not look as good as my neighbor's flip cover keypad. It is thin and long. But The unit is advertised as weather resistance, so will see.
I have it for about a month and so far it is working with no issue. It is a tad pricy compare to other garage door opener keypads. But if you have the Sommer garage door opener then this is your only choice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by anuttymom How do you change the code?
OK, I love the fact that I no longer have to worry about my children losing their house key. I think there are 10 somewhere in the neighborhood.
The product's only faults are it was confusing on how to change the code and I didn't know what all the buttons were for. I called customer support and they changed and deleted the one it came with. It seems you might be able to have more than one at a time, but I'm not sure. I like that you can light up the keypad and it stays lit during the entry process.
To stop it or to close the door you have to enter your code again. This I think they could just have a stop and close button. I don't think it should be necessary to enter the code to stop or close, but as long as the kids remember we'll be OK.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tom123 A good product but overengineered
Programming this device took me thirty minutes of careful study of the paperwork and 30 seconds of action - it worked on the first try. But of course I spent my career in R&D for a German company. The complexity comes from the designer trying to serve all possible customers, including the car dealership employee who wants to walk around with the keypad, operating ten different overhead doors.
The unit comes with a battery already installed and the keyboard locked. It mounts with a hidden screw and is as secure as the Craftsman keypad.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by alexdresko Hard to configure, but good otherwise
I like the look and feel of this thing, but as others have noted, the instructions that come with it are lacking. I found a video on the Sommer website that does a *better* job of explaining how to get it configured, but because I had already "unlocked" the opener, I had to figure out what steps I really needed to perform on my own.
DON'T LOOSE THE STICKER ON THE BOX, BTW! If you accidentally enter the wrong password when configuring it, you'll need that sticker to reset the opener!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ToolmanTim Easy to install yourself
This is one of those products that really lives up to its name. Everyone who has come over and has seen or heard the garage door opener has said its so quiet. I installed it myself and it was one of the easiest installs I ever did. I have purchased many products over the years and only a hand full of them ever worked as well as advertised and this is one of them. I wish American manufacture's would only make a quality product like this one. Once again we are behind the eight ball.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by LetaProDoIt It takes a rocket scientist to program this thing!
The professional who installed the door opener had only installed a couple in the past and took just over three hours following the manual to install the door opener. The wireless keypad was another story. The instructions were long and the guy gave up after 45 minutes of punching numbers and not getting anywhere. It looks good but it's way too complicated for a door opener. For now, I have it sitting in a box hoping to find time to program it myself!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jswobe Expensive, but it works well
I have a Sommer Direct Drive garage door opener. Installed it and this Wireless keypad at the same time. Both work very well. The directions that come with this keypad are a little much. There are half a dozen or more functions that I will never use with this thing, and the directions only barely explain them. But if you are just trying to open and close the garage door via a keypad, it works great...if a little bit expensive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mike3328 Fantastic opener and keypad
This is the best garage door opener and keypad I have ever owned. The buttons are big and easy to read. I like that I could program the opener code to be as simple or complicated as I wanted. I wish it had a cover, but it appears to be durable, so I'm not expecting this to be an issue. If you want an opener and a keypad, buy both. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
