As an air compressor, this unit performs well. It's a 20-gallon tank that fills quickly enough, and has not leaked after months of being constantly pressurized, used and refilled. It's a good size and wheels around my garage nicely.
There are some shortcomings, mostly in the instruction manual. The instructions are hard to read and do not say anything about the breather, the air filter, or the included wheel set. I called the customer service number and left messages, but never recieved a call back or had my call actually answered. I finally emailed customer service and several days later recieved a response. I was not impressed with the level of customer service.
It's a small thing, but the set screws that hold the handle in place are entirely too long for their purpose. They stick out way too far, and they rattle loose from the motor running.
The compressor is considerably louder than I expected. I was assuming that an oil-filled motor would run quieter. That is not really the case with this unit. It's as loud or louder than my older oil-free model of a larger tank size, but slightly smaller motor (only 1.7 HP on that one, vs 2 HP on this one). I expected a quieter operating motor.

This compressor seems to be very good. I have had it about 2 weeks now and it pumps up very fast and has no leaks. I would suggest that you replace the bottom drain with a 1/4 ball valve. You will need a 1/4" street elbow and 4 & 3 inch x 1/4 nipples as well. You want to drain the water from the bottom of the tank every day of use. Water is the enemy of your tank. Also be careful if you install new fittings in the air manifold on the top of the unit. The manifold is not steel (which is OK) but if you over torque the new fittings the manifold female threads may fail, crack or deform. Also mine was shipped from Home Depot. The inner box had adequate protection for the compressor and tank and the box is marked to keep the bottom of tank down. However, before shipping (Home Depot) it was placed in another box with more foam (excellent idea) bu the second box did not indicate which end was up. So when I received it, it was upside down.
I wish there was an easy way to replace the manifold (compressor must be removed first from top of tank). I will update this when I attempt to use this compressor for some light HVLP painting applications

The compressor arrived this afternoon and I couldn't wait to get it running. There lies the problem - the instructions were incomplete and the printing was blurry. There was a separate note in the box telling about the wheels that were in the box, but nothing about two parts that were rattling round the box that later appeared to be the breather for the oil fill and the filter for the air intake. Neither of these were mentioned anywhere in the instructions. After removing the plug on the oil fill area I discovered that one of the parts fit there instead of the plug. I held the other and looked for anyplace that it would fit, nothing. I started the compressor but it didn't build up any pressure. I then began to look everywhere for a hole or another plug and finally found one on the front of the compressor that had broken in shipping. I pulled it out and screwed in the "filter" then turned the unit back on. It worked!
Connected the tank to a framing nailer through a 20' line and drove ten 3½ inch nails into an oak pallet. The nails set well without adjusting the pressure. Now that it is working I look forward to many years of use.

Over all the compressor works fine, only big issue I had was the lack of Teflon on the air lines so they all leaked. When i first started it up i had four joints that leaked. I dissembled and wrapped each joint with Teflon and now the tank holds its pressure for over a week with no loss in pressure. For garage usage this works great.

Unit would not pump to 50psi, fittings did leak and had oil residue on motor. Manager at Home Depot was gracious enough to make restitution
