I had high hopes that this little spray gun would earn a place in my stable of gravity feed sprayers. What attracted me was the low profile cup design. An added feature is the cup swivels to reach into tight spots.
On the negative side, the spray pattern is almost round, rather than a typical fan pattern, even when adjusted for max. fan width. Second the cup lid is absolutely horrible. It is a friction fit metal-to-metal connection so it leaks like a sieve. I mean I had lacquer pouring out the top at one point. I'm glad I was trying the gun on scrap, and not an important project.
Basically the gun is unusable as it comes in the box. I will look for a replacement cup, but since it attaches to the side it is non-standard. Otherwise one would have to devise a seal around the existing cup lid. This is tricky though, because the seal material would have to resist chemical exposure. Maybe nothing more than a chemical resistant glove stretched around the cup lid?
It will take some experimenting to get this gun working. Until then I will continue to use my Porter Cable PSH1 gravity feed gun.

Good little gun. Sprayed lacquer for cabinet doors. Obviously, this is a small-job gun. The gun valves adjust pretty well to create a good spray density and pattern. For the money - a great spray gun.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HomeDepotFan great sprayer/great price
This was a great purchase, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars instead of a 4 is because it does have a lot of intricate little parts that have to be taken apart and cleaned every time it is used, and the place where the paint is being held on the gun doesn't seem to be the absolute most convenient spot. But, it didn't sputter or have any problems with giving us even coats. I am so glad I didn't have to pay much in order to get such a nice finish on our furniture!

Delivers what it claims at a price point well below the competition. Would have preferred a threaded cap
but I suppose that would have jacked the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by traumajunkie This is the one exception
I bought this gun the other week to spray a project truck, I read good reviews about it but I was not sure of the quality due to the price. I will say for the price this gun shoots cleaner and smoother then my more expensive gun, this is the one exception " you get what you pay for" because you get a quality gun at a cheap price. The gun is light, feels good and the quality seams very good, my only one dislike is the bowl is on the side and not the top so it felt kind of awkward to me at first. Also it says this gun is a hvhp gun but I am using a 24 gallon tank with a 2.4 hp motor and have had no issues.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HDbuyer One of my top purchases
This spray gun is inexpensive and works like a top dollar sprayer. One of my best buys. The atomization is excellent. I am not a professional painter, but this tool paints like I was. I do have a high output compressor though, this may be the reason. The three control knobs can be adjusted for a precise spray pattern, amount, and accuracy. I really did not know if this was going to be worth it, but it is. If you are looking and thinking of buying a sprayer, just stop and buy this one. The only thing to complain about was the condition of the product packaging when I picked it up at the site to store. I order online and the original packaging was replaced with UPS packaging and the instructions were not with the item. I had to download them online from an independent site.

I have done a lot of woodworking projects over the years and have used brush on lacquer (Deft) with good results, but it takes a lot of time ane effort to achieve a smooth finish. Tried this sprayer to use with the air compressor for my Bostitch nail gun (2.1 cfm @90 psig, 6 gal tank). It works for me, but I would consider this the absolute minimum requirement or you will not have not have enough air pressure. The sprayer is easy to use (I've never owned one) and has saved me a lot of time.
