1.37-Pint Mini Thermo-Electric Dehumidifier-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance in a small package I bought it for use in my garage and it has done a great job for the last two weeks. I live in southern Alabama and I have asthma. When I would work on projects (before i bought this dehumidifier) I could not stay in the garage for more than 1 or 2 hours. without having breathing problems and perspiring heavily. Things are much, much better now. Although this unit is not recommended for such a large space, it performs very well even on the muggiest of days. I have used compressor-based dehumidifiers in the past but they boosted the garage temperature by 10 or 15 degrees--this is better solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mini-Thermo Electric Dehumidifier I wanted this item for my travel trailer as in Florida it is always humid in the trailer no matter how long the AC is on. I have had the unit one full week and have noticed the difference in our linens and clothing stored. The unit is quiet and I like that it can drain as needed. Hopefully this progress will continue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for one room Great little one room dehumidifer with a quiet hum you don't even hear after awhile. Using it in a downstairs bedroom and it has changed the air in the room for these hot/humid days. Have one in each bedroom, and it certainly serves the purpose it was intended for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for light duty performance Unit has been in operation for a few weeks and have emptied canister twice, I keep a humidity meter in the same room (16x20 little used basement bedroom) to note changes in humidity. I believe this unit would be more effective in a smaller space, however; it will serve my goal of keeping the humidity low enough to avoid mold/mildew growth. I also believe a setting to control desired humidity level,or, a switch for on/off operation periods versus 'always on' would be helpful. In the final analysis, it is adequate for my purposes, operates quietly and was very affordable .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value - Works great! It's easy to move around to different rooms. I empty the canister instead of using the drain hose and it is a snap to take out, empty and replace. I like the UV light because I empty it every few days and have not had any mold in Florida. It might be a little noisy for some, about the same as a tower fan - it's perfect grey background noise for me. It runs continually and I've been very pleased with the performance of this mini-portable dehumidifier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Serves its purpose This works exactly as I had hoped. I live in a basement apartment, and my bedroom can get very humid in the summer (at one point it was at 85%). The air conditioner lowers the humidity to about 70-75%, which is still really high. It makes it difficult to sleep, so I wanted a dehumidifier that was quiet enough to run all night in my bedroom. I've been using this dehumidifier for a little over a month. Typically, this little unit can reduce the humidity anywhere from 5-15%, depending on how high the humidity is. It has made my bedroom much less damp and it doesn't disturb my sleep. As long as I keep this running every night, the humidity stays between 55-65%, which is perfect for me. My bedroom is SMALL, about 10'X15'. I don't know how well it would work in a larger area. I don't usually run the unit during the day unless I know it's going to be a very humid day. I haven't had any of the problems others have experienced. My unit doesn't make noise, I haven't had problems with the light, it doesn't leak, and it still works as well as it did 1 month ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not durable; bought two, returned two I loved this product's concept: small & with a germ/bacteria-killing feature, but unfortunately they aren't built to last. The first one I ordered, the UV light didn't work right out of the box, so I returned it and ordered another one. The second one ran for 5 days and then the power/motor stopped working and so that one was returned too. This company states no refunds, but they'll be happy to make free repairs during the 1st year. Making a product this disposable is shameful because it's going to end up in a landfill in no time flat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We like the size and stated features. We placed this into a 33 foot cabin cruiser and operate it in continuous mode. It keeps moisture out of the cabin and fills up in about 10 days. In continuous mode the discharge tube easily slides off the back so we check it often. The fan started to get noisy in 14 days as the bearings begin to wear. I seriously doubt it will last one year.
