We redid our kitchen and left a spot for a wine cooler. Looking to save money, and get a quieter option, we chose the SPT thermoelectric. HUGE mistake on our part. The top zone stopped working 90 days from purchase, almost to the day. And the bottom zone is now on the way out as well. We made sure to leave enough room for ventilation behind the unit and even went as far as adding a 4" cabinet fan to help circulate air. The unit's top fan and thermoelectric element stopped working completely in less than 3 months. Furthermore, SPT's customer service is equally poor. They want me to pay to ship this unit across the country on MY DIME instead of sending someone locally and authorizing a repair. If it seems too good to be true, it usually is. This fridge is a scam. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Shipped quickly. Quality cooler. Nice dual zone feature with LED readout.
I wish the cooler was a bit deeper and there was a bit more space between shelves to handle taller and fatter bottles but it works fine for standard bottles. Also would like the white wine section to chill a little more.
If you like your whites slightly chilled but not cold and you buy mostly standard size bottles, this is the perfect cooler in this size. I'm very happy with my new cooler and the HD ordering/delivery service was a snap.

Do not buy this wine cooler. It only works for a few months & then you have to have another fan sent to you for either the top section or the bottom section. During the warranty the top fan went out and then the bottom fan went out. They do not have a repair center so either you have to pay for the freight to send it back or repair it yourself when they send you a fan. Fortunately, my husband could repair it himself once they sent us the fan.
Now the bottom fan has gone out again so the bottom unit does not cool. This has been less than a year since my husband put in the new fan. Now they tell me it is out of warranty and I have to pay for the fan and shipping. I explained how it had broken under warranty and they don't care. These people are crooks. Do not buy anything from their company!! Home Depot should not carry their products!

Cooler worked great for 14 months, then the red zone would no longer hold temp. Called customers service several times when finally reached a person who transferred us to Matt. Assured Matt would call us back. Left message on 1/23/12, left another message on 1/30/12. Sent e-mails on 2/5/12 and 2/7/12. Never received a call back nor a return e-mail. Will never purchase a Veno Veritas product again.

I was initially impressed with the wine cooler with dual zones. Like several of the other reviews, the temperature controls became problematic right after the 90 day warranty, I tried phone calls and emails to customer service but no one EVER returned my requests for service or contact. I will not buy this brand again and hope you do not either, Vino Veritas does not stand behind their product.

It was great...for the first year. Two weeks ago, the temperature setting for the white wine compartment started changing on its own. After a few days, the light came on and the only way to turn it off was to use the temperature buttons. Yes, the light button controlled the temperature at that point.
