Answer:
I'm not sure exactly what wall AC refers to . I assume your speaking of a built in wall unit ? Or a window unit . This being a portable unit with a hose to an outside window source has ample cooling ability . It's very efficient and function is top notch .

Answer:
Capacity is Capacity. So a 12K BTU/H window / wall unit is going to perform the same as a portable 12 K BTU/H floor unit. Sometimes the volume of air might vary by a few CFM, but if the manufacture is being honest in their capacity rating then this is a non issue.

The fan on this unit is just as powerful as an wall unit. The cooling effectiveness depends on how big your room is vs how many BTU unit you buy.

This unit requires venting . Either via a window , a sliding glass door , or you can vent via a wall . As you would a dryer . This requires a kit ( not included ) to execute this .

Answer:
No. The unit does have to be vented to the outside though for it to remove the heat from the conditioned space and function properly. So you can vent it thur a wall, door, up in the attic or thru the roof, just make sure it vents the hot air to the outside.

It has to be vented to the outside, but we made a vent-hose-sized hole in the wall because our windows are not amenable to accommodating an exhaust hose.

Answer:
How much do you like to sweat? Noise levels are subjective. Every manufacture likes to claim they have the quietest system, but you'd need a decibel to see which produces less noise since your ears can't hear the difference, but it is a good marketing ploy. I believe the noise level is acceptable.

it is okay for me. I can talk on the phone and listen to the radio. If I have it running, I can't hear the doorbell, but I am in a back room where it is hard to hear it anyway.

Yes, the do make some noise but not any worse than a window unit. It's white noise and actually helps me fall asleep. You'll definitely know it's on but the noise level is not very intrusive.

It's 120v but it doesn't matter is you have 115v. It will work as it only uses 13amps and your standard wall outlet should be rated for at least 20 with more modern homes haveing 30 amps.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spt 14k btu pac So I also own the haier commercial cool 12k btu and there is no comparison to the spt 14k. The spt spreads the air like a 180 degrees. Amazing. Compared to the haier 12k it just shots out to one direction. What I love about it is you actually feel the cool air with out getting too much in your face. Like you feel your body too getting cool. I love how the air door swings down and up to keep the air flow spreading. The only issue that I have is the swinging door. If only the can make it child proof as I am waiting for my kids to press on it while it operates. Hands down this is the best ac unit I have ever owned. August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product and easy to install. I purchased this air conditioner because I didn't think I could handle a large heavy window unit to replace my old one. My husband is disabled and can't help. This one was easy to install. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but the cool air doesn't reach as far as I would like. This could be because I am in South Texas in the middle of a scorching summer and our house is old and drafty. Also, the air here is so humid, that I have to empty the water every couple of hours. If I could figure out a way to set up a continuous drain to the outside, it would work quite well. August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate not great Easy set up. The window slide is too long, won't fit into a standard window. Need to plug the opening with insulation. Other units I bought fits all size windows. The unit is noisy. Also, does not produce as cool air as other units I owned. I have it in a conference room that is about 15X20 and it does not keep the room very cool. Gets the temperature of the room to 74 when the outside temperature is 85. Again, does not work as well as other units I own that are 12,000 BTU. I paid extra for this unit thinking that higher BTU would get the room cooler. I was wrong. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So happy to have purchased this room airconditioner during our unprecidented 90's heat wave. Free delivery in 3 days was factual. Just AMAZING!!!!!!!! It was the best purchase made this year. The unit works perfectly for my needs. It gets the living room and kitchen almost too cold. You can feel the cold creaping up the stairs off of the kitchen. I was amazed that they actually delivered it in 3 days as promised when the demand in the North East was tremendous due to a sustained and historic heat wave. My baby sitter will be making the same purchase next summer as she saw the value in this air conditioner for her home. Job well done. Thanks August 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NO thanks. Really awful I knew it was a bad idea to buy an A/C from a company that makes frying pans. My old SPT frying pan lasted a a whole year before it started to rust. If only I knew it was the same company when I bought this piece of junk. It started leaking 6 days into use. It can't quite cool down a 220 sq foot space. Best it could do was 79 degrees which wasn't going to work. Their customer service line is probably also more used to answer how to scrub a frying pan than how to run the A/C more effectively. Sending back today. August 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Operates as advertized Just opened the box and assembled unit. It operates as per instructions. Vent hose assembly is tricky and instructions are somewhat unclear. (clockwise vs. counterclockwise rotation of vent hose during assembly of hose and fittings) August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seems to be working as intended Have been using this a/c unit for about 3 weeks now in a 400 s.f. garage with 23 ft high ceiling. Use it for both cooling and to keep humidity level down in my wood shop. I keep it set on 80 degrees when I'm not in the shop and 76 degrees when I'm in there working. So far, this little a/c has done the job well. I'm thinking about putting it on a dedicated electric circuit since it overloads my 20 amp breaker when I turn on dust collector on same circuit.
