PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # SF-610

Internet # 202105062

This Evaporative Air Cooler, Humidifier, and Fan is versatile, lightweight and economical. The Cooler easily rolls from room to room for use anywhere in your house or office. This Air Cooler shoots a stream of air with oscillating louvers, to evenly distribute refreshing cool air. Can also be used as a fan or humidifier if temperature is not an issue.- Plus get the air cleaning benefits of the ionic air purifier. The remote control allows you to easily change settings. The Air Cooler works by endothermic reaction (a reaction that consumes heat), so this evaporative Air Cooler sucks air through a wick saturated with water. As the air flows through the wick, some of the water evaporates into the air, consuming the heat that was in the air. An air stream is then blown out the front of the unit and is considerably cooler than the current room temperature. This is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy. Note: This unit is NOT an air conditioner, so there's no compressor inside. Even though the air temperature difference is not as good as an air conditioner provides, an evaporative air cooler saves more on electricity cost. It is best used in dry climates or open spaces. Leave window/door open to limit the rise of humidity and keep better air ventilation in the room. Add as much ice as possible and set unit next to you for best effect.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great! great features! I've read lots of negative reviews on here about this product. I was hesitant but still bought it because the price is better than what I would pay for a portable ac unit. To my surprise it works great! If the place is very humid you may need additional help, which is why I also purchased a window fan. When humidity is up to 80% and the dew point over 70, it was hard to keep the place cool as I didn't use it in an open space, what works best is filling the item with ice and have it blow directly onto you. the cold air is comparable to an AC unit, the only difference is you have to refill with ice. When the humidity and dew point drops it works perfectly on fan mode. On a normal summer day (mid 80's), I use just the fan mode, it works very well in keeping the space cool, even so, at times I would turn it off or put it on a lower setting as the air would blow a bit to cold for my liking. Generally you can use the product on fan mode only for comfort, if the temperature goes up to high 80's - 90's and it very humid I would recommend using the cool mode and add ice. I also like the option to move the louvers up and down and the swing option. I would use the product all year round. I also like the timer option, and the Ionizer. When the cool mode is not in use I would recommend draining the water out and using the fan mode. Keep the water tank dry to prevent mold or stagnant water(I haven't experience mold growth in this product). Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to pay the high price of a portable AC unit and want a comparable feel of an AC. The only thing I disliked about the product is that the opening to get water or ice in is a bit small. Water can get in Ok, but it would be better to use small pieces of ice. Also the door opening to the water tank is a bit flimsy, if I tried to put in huge pieces of ice the door would detach but can be reattached. August 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product I wrote an earlier review... but it is worth a second one. It is now cooling well. and has reduced the feeling of warmth to cool in the bedroom when I moved it there. One thing to note. 1. It is a swamp cooler, not an AC 2. It really cools you 3. ICE and ICED water makes it work much better (especially in humid climates or humid periods) 4. Have some ventilation 5. let the louvers swing 6. dont close it up in a small room without ventilation 7. can really assist a window AC, as a window AC evaporates humidity and this produces it to cool 8. On Humid Days, add lots of icewater and ICE (I am in the south and swamp coolers has to be managed different that dry climates) May 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far it is working great Read all the reviews, mostly negative. Not sure why. I am in inland CA and it is HOT HOT HOT (109) and Dry. Maybe it is not dry in those other reviews areas but it works great for me. It does not cool a large area but my 15x15 bedroom is about 20 degrees cooler today than it was yesterday before I bought this. So far, I like it and it does a WAY better job at cooling than a regular fan. Bummer is you have to keep putting ice in it (about once every hour or two). So far so good, for the price. Others run up in the $200-300 range so...that's my two cents! June 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by GA & CA were right... Read the reviews of the people in CA and GA and thought maybe they were in humid climates and the evap cooler didn't work in their local. WRONG!! Living in CO and the relative humidity was about 5% when I put water in and powered up -- all kinds of pushbuttons, lights and functions, but it Did Not COOL ANYTHING!! Had to know why, so I removed the filter and, low and behold, rather than wood shavings that get wet and offer a huge surface area for the water to evaporate, there is a folded-over piece of open mesh nylon. The water runs down the mesh and does not dissipate into anything with a large surface area to promote evaporation! I did not listen to the other people: Don’t waste your money… IT DOESN’T WORK!!!! Back to the store… June 19, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great performance and value. We live in Death Valley and our poultry were having a hard time with the heat, so we got this cooler. It's in a shady spot and really has relieved the distress our birds were experiencing. Love the ice/water option. I just put a frozen gallon jug of water inverted on top and let it drain. We love it, so do our birds! June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent product Love it. Works just like expected. Very happy with the product. Easy to use and lightweight. Can be moved around easily. May 6, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money! I live in Barstow CA which has very low humidity, so I thought that this portable evaporative cooler would work to cool down my bedroom. It didn't.. No matter what I did it only blew hot air. I tried ice and ice cold water .. still warm air. I had it in front of an open window , then in front of the open door.. Nothing worked, it never once blew cold air, not even cool air. It did however put a lot of moisture in the air, which just made it hot and soupy feeling. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that it uses a mesh curtain that the water trickles down.. perhaps if it had a honeycomb pad it might have worked. I suggest though, to save your money for a window unit or a more expensive portable cooler. On the bright side customer service was pleasant and helpful. June 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice for some rooms! I like my lil cooler very much! In our heat..it doesn't work as great as a window cooler.. But perfect for early mornings & evenings. I really love all the features its built with. July 23, 2013
