I am not sure what the maximum lift of the pump is but it is quite powerful. Mine pumps about 12 feet and up about 4 feet. I use the maximum length of the drain line.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything I Needed So far the SPT 70-Pint Dehumidifier has done everything really well. My basement went from between 65-80% humidity to a steady 50%. The unit was super easy to setup and the pump operates well - I haven't had to touch this thing since I set it up. It has been running for close to two months, I hope it continues to be reliable. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not last This dehumidifier worked great for not quite 3 years. There were several gliches in performance along the way. It would work fine for a few weeks, then would freeze up, or overheat. Upon restart, would not begin at initial settings. Only ran it about 2 weeks a month in a vacation home, and just before 3 years were up, it went completely out! Wouldn't turn off...unplug, and it wouldn't restart, etc. When it worked, it did a great job, but would not buy another one, nor recommend I have an old Sears dehumidifier in my primary residence, and it has worked flawlessly for over 25 years! And still going strong. I think 2-3/4 years is not good for an item for which I paid 349.00!!! August 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect size dehumidifier This dehumidifier is incredible. All we had to do was hook up the water hose as instructed and plug it in and voila..our basement is dry and smells great again. I would highly recommend this product August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great dehumidifier I really like the pump feature, the main reason I bought this model. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lasted 18 months Quiet but failed after only 18 months. Do not recommend. January 1, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad This dehumidifier is expensive and not reliable. I just wasted 346$ November 11, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Built-in pump not working, seems to be a common problem This product works very well and is relatively quiet for a dehumidifier. The electronic controls are a bit puzzling, and the instruction manual could use a re-write as it is needlessly complicated. The disappointment is the pump, the reason that I selected this model. I followed the instruction precisely but it does not engage when the pan is full of water. Very frustrated. I have sent an email to the customer service email address on Friday, it is Tuesday morning (after Memorial Day) and still no response or acknowledgement of the problem. May 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent dehumidifier - QUIET This unit is excellent. It is much quieter than the unit it replaced. You can actually use the room that this unit is in. The previous unit (another brand) was so noise that I had to cut it off whenever I was in the room. Hold my large basement around 50% humidity. The pump that hangs down into the bucket takes a little getting use to, but after you learn how to insert the bucket, no problem. August 11, 2015
